While the city has long positioned itself as an international financial centre, these annual fairs reflect a continued push to build its credentials as a regional tech hub, and as an emerging platform for broader exchange between public institutions, global buyers and the start-up community. Both fairs are flagship events of the Business of Innovation and Technology Week (BIT Week), scheduled to run from April 13 to 16 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
