Ex-NFL star says Trump roasted him over pregame pitch
Former NFL Pro Bowl offensive lineman Taylor Lewan revealed on the latest episode of his podcast with Will Compton that President Donald Trump roasted him over his pitch attempt. Lewan was widely mocked on social media after the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at Busch Stadium before a St. Louis Cardinals game last week went awry. Lewan and Compton said they briefly ran into Trump at UFC 316 in Newark, New Jersey, over the weekend. Compton said he shook hands with the president while the commander in chief walked past him and eventually roasted him. "I got, 'Oh, Mr. President, remember the podcast?'" Lewan said on "Bussin' with the Boys." "He goes, 'Remember that throw?' And kept going. D.J.T. looked at me, scoffed. He goes,' You call yourself an American? I thought you were a big, strong man? Looks like you're a little boy. Looks like you're a little boy who can't throw a ball.' "And then he went like this. Figuratively, my chest right here, 'You're not good enough.' And he walked away. Yeah, that's what my life is now, boys. OK? So, while you guys lay your heads on your pillows at night. Remember, at least you're not me, OK, because I'm in hell and there's only one thing I can do – pick up a ball and start throwing." Lewan said he knew disaster was around the corner before the ball left his hand. He sailed the ball closer to the first base on-deck circle than home plate, and several people were within striking distance. Luckily for Lewan, no one was injured, but a disgusted Lewan threw his hat to the field and punished himself with pushups. The pitch was immediately compared to 50 Cent, who threw out the first pitch before a New York Mets game years ago. "This is the worst day of my athletic career and that includes the Chandler Jones game. I need redemption," Lewan posted on X, noting the time Jones sacked quarterback Ryan Tannehill five times. "Not gonna dwell on comments about 'keeping my chin up' coming from someone without one. No excuses. We have to be better, and there will be redemption," he added later. Lewan was a Pro Bowler from 2016 to 2018. Follow Fox News Digital's sports coverage on X and subscribe to the Fox News Sports Huddle newsletter.

Golden Tate speaks out on explosive Jalen Ramsey feud over sister that blew up on field
Former Giants receiver Golden Tate is peeling back the curtain on his widely publicized feud with current Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey, which exploded on the field in October 2020. During a recent appearance on the 'Bussin' with the Boys' podcast, Tate expanded on the beef with Ramsey, who previously dated the wideout's sister and ended the relationship while she was pregnant with their second child in 2019. 'Him and one of my twin sisters have two children together,' Tate said on the program hosted by Taylor Lewan and Will Compton. '… Now things happened within that relationship where I don't think my sister was done or treated the way she should have been treated. And when that happens, who you gotta come see? You gotta come see big bro.' Advertisement 6 Golden Tate spoke about his widely publicized beef with Jalen Ramsey on the 'Bussin' with the Boys' podcast. When a fan tweeted to Tate, 'If I was @ShowtimeTate I would have words with this young fella,' the former second-round pick replied, 'He know he gonna have to see me.' 'We get out there and right away, first one he's overly jamming me and I'm like, 'OK, this is how we're going to do,'' Tate recalled. '… Whatever I do, I cannot cost my team a penalty or cost myself any money, so that's in my back pocket. I'm not going to do that cause that's selfish, but I'm in his face, I'm talking my mess, he talking his mess.' 'The game ends, I run up there to expect it, what's going to happen? And he come find me… I'm seeing where he at, I went right up to him with my helmet on and he swings, but I knew he was going to swing, so I duck, and I went to dump him, and the next thing you know, they had everybody on us, so they separated us,' Tate said. Ramsey, who was traded to the Dolphins in March 2023 after three seasons and a Super Bowl LVI win with the Rams, shared his take on the Tate scuffle during a 2022 appearance on 'The Pivot' podcast. 'On sight, we knew what we was gonna do,' Ramsey said at the time. 'I mean that's his sister, that's what he supposed to do, too. But you mind your business, too. This is me too now.' Ramsey, a 2016 first-round pick with the Jaguars, has been at the center of trade talks his offseason. Tate last played for the Titans after signing with their practice squad in November 2021. He was released months later in January.

John Lynch: George Kittle has put in the work to be one of the NFL's best TEs
The 49ers have made it official with George Kittle, announcing that the tight end has signed a four-year extension with the club on Tuesday morning. Kittle previously announced the deal was agreed to on the Bussin' with the Boys podcast. 'In 2017, our first year with the 49ers, we selected a skinny tight end from Iowa whom we were really excited about. We had high hopes, but no one knew that he would become the player that he is today,' 49ers G.M. John Lynch said in a statement. 'George's leadership, enthusiasm for the game, for his teammates, and the Faithful are truly unique and special. He is an outstanding representation for the 49ers on the field and is an outstanding representative for the organization off the field with his investment in the local and military communities. He has a great sense of pride in his role and has put in the work to be one of the best tight ends in the NFL.' A fifth-round pick in 2017, Kittle has become one of the most productive tight ends of his generation. He has eclipsed 1,000 yards receiving four times — including in 2024 when he caught 78 passes for 1,106 yards with eight touchdowns. Kittle is No. 3 on the club's all-time list in receptions (538) and receiving yards (7,380), trailing just Hall of Famers Jerry Rice and Terrell Owens.
