Patriots release schedule for 2025 season

FOXBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — The New England Patriots unveiled their 2025 season schedule Wednesday night. Mike Vrabel's regular season debut as the Patriots' head coach will take place at home on Sept. 7 against the Las Vegas Raiders. New England is slated to play in three nationally-televised games this season — two of which will take place at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots will host the Buffalo Bills in a Sunday Night Football matchup on Oct. 5, the New York Jets in a Thursday Night Football showdown on Nov. 13, and finally the New York Giants for Monday Night Football on Dec. 1. This will be the fifth time overall that the Patriots have battled against the defending AFC Champion Buffalo Bills in a Sunday night game and the first since the 2007 season. It will be the seventh time the two teams have played a Thursday night game, in which the Patriots are 4-2 overall. New England will make its first appearance on Monday Night Football since the 2022 season against the Giants. This will also be the first time that the Patriots and Giants have squared off on a Monday night. The team's first away game will take place against the Miami Dolphins on Sept. 28. New England will then return home for games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Carolina Panthers. The Patriots will then embark on a three-game road trip — their first since the 2020 season. The team will play the Bills, followed by the New Orleans Saints and the Tennessee Titans. The Titans matchup will be the first time Vrabel has returned to Tennessee since his six-year stint as head coach. The Patriots will then play the Cleveland Browns and the Atlanta Falcons in Foxboro before taking off again to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The team will travel for a matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals between two of their nationally-televised games. New England's Bye Week is slated for Dec. 7. The team will return to host the Bills for the second time before heading back out to play the Baltimore Ravens and the Jets. The Patriots are expected to close the season out at home against the Miami Dolphins, though a date and time for that game has not yet been set. This will be the 18th time in team history that the Patriots will face the Dolphins in their regular season finale and the first since the 2021 season. In total, New England will play nine home games and travel for eight games. The Patriots are also slated to play the Washington Commanders, the Minnesota Vikings and the Giants in the preseason, which begins Aug. 8. Barstool Sports' Dave Portnoy gave his score predictions for each week in the Patriots' schedule announcement video, which the team shared on social media. 'Looks pretty easy to me,' Portnoy concluded with a shrug. NFL set to announce schedule for entire league, including Vikings

NFL set to announce schedule for entire league, including Vikings Before the Bears made the 10th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the NFL wanted to surprise fans of every team with something special. The biggest day of the offseason, following the NFL Draft, will be May 14, when the NFL announces the entire league schedule for the 2025 season. On that day, we will know what day each game will be played, how many primetime games the Bucs will have, and when their highly valuable Bye Week will be. Not to mention, it will also be a chance for every NFL social media team to show who has the most creativity. Everyone is still chasing the Los Angeles Chargers, but maybe someone surprises us this year. The Bucs confirmed home opponents in 2025 are, of course, the divisional teams of the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, and Atlanta Falcons. They will also host the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers, New England Patriots, New York Jets, and Arizona Cardinals. On the road they will play divisional opponents once again but also go on the road to the Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, and Houston Texans.
