Max McLaughlin was the star of the show as the Bluebirds stormed back to sink Llanrhaeadr whose season now hinges on their MMP Central Wales League North title-decider against Forden United. A Caersws club spokesman said: 'It's a great way to round off what has been a successful season overall. 'The way the lads famished the league season so strongly gives us a great platform to build from, and to add some silverware to that is really satisfying.' Hopes are high the club will build on the success of this season going forward as the villagers strive to retain their lost status as Powys' top club. The spokesman added: 'There is a great feeling around the club at the moment, from the juniors right through to our senior teams. 'After 18 years to have our hands back on the Montgomeryshire Cup - we're delighted.'
