ICAI releases CA September 2025 exam dates for Foundation, Inter, Final
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the exam timetable for the CA September 2025 session. The schedule includes the dates for CA Foundation, Intermediate (Inter), and Final to the official notice, the Group 1 exams for the CA Final course will take place on September 3, 6, and 8, while Group 2 exams are slated for September 10, 12, and 14. The Intermediate Group 1 exams are scheduled for September 4, 7, and 9, followed by Group 2 on September 11, 13, and 15. The CA Foundation exams will be conducted on September 16, 18, 20, and the duration of the papers, Papers 3 and 4 of the Foundation exam will be 2 hours long, while Paper 6 of the Final exam will last for 4 hours. All remaining papers across levels will be 3 hours in duration. There will be no exam on September 5, 2025 (Friday), due to Milad-un-Nabi. ICAI has also clarified that exam dates will remain unchanged even if any of them are declared public holidays by central, state, or local exams will be held across 318 centres in India, with the exception of Arunachal Pradesh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Ladakh, and Lakshadweep. India's ICAI reschedules ‘postponed' exams
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has revised the examination schedule for the Chartered Accountants (CA) Final, Intermediate, and International Taxation – Assessment Test (INTT–AT) for May 2025. Earlier in May 2025, ICAI postponed certain exams scheduled from 9 to 14 May following the tensions between India and Pakistan, impacting candidates, particularly in 12 high-alert cities. The latest decision follows favourable developments in the national security situation, allowing for improved logistical arrangements to conduct the examinations. According to an official notification issued on 10 May, examinations originally scheduled between 9 and 14 May 2025 will now be held from 16 to 24 May 2025. The revised dates affect six papers in total, covering CA Final Group II, CA Intermediate Group II, and INTT–AT. Despite the change in schedule, ICAI confirmed that examination venues and time slots remain unchanged. All exams will begin at 2:00pm Indian Standard Time, with most concluding at 5:00pm, except for papers marked with an asterisk, which will end at 6:00pm. Previously issued admit cards will remain valid for the revised dates, the accounting body said. The affected papers include Final Group II Paper 5: Indirect Tax Laws and INTT–AT Paper 1: International Tax – Transfer Pricing, which will now be held on 16 May 2025 instead of 10 May 2025. Final Group II Paper 6: Integrated Business Solutions and INTT–AT Paper 2: International Tax – Practice, originally scheduled for 13 May 2025, will now be conducted on 18 May 2025. Intermediate Group II Paper 4: Cost & Management Accounting, initially set for 9 May 2025, has been rescheduled to 20 May 2025. Intermediate Group II Paper 5: Auditing & Ethics has been moved from 11 May to 22 May 2025, while Intermediate Group II Paper 6: Financial Management & Strategic Management, previously planned for 14 May, will now be held on 24 May 2025. ICAI has emphasised that the revised dates are final and examinations will be held as scheduled even if any of the new dates coincide with a public or local holiday. The CA Foundation examination schedule remains unchanged and will proceed as previously announced, with exams taking place on 15, 17, 19, and 21 May 2025. ICAI revised schedule for CA Inter and Final exams 2025. Full details here
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has shared a revised schedule for the CA Intermediate and Final exams 2024. The examination, which was initially scheduled to take place between 9 and 14 May 2025, has been postponed due to the India-Pakistan escalation. ICAI has revised the schedule, and now these exams will take place between May 16 and 24, 2025. 18 May INTT – AT, Paper – 2 13 May 18 May CA Intermediate (Group II) Paper – 4 9 May 20 May CA Intermediate (Group II) Paper – 5 11 May 22 May CA Intermediate (Group II) Paper – 6 14 May 24 May ICAI's revised schedule notification ICAI decided to reschedule the exam due to improved security conditions in the country. The ICAI issued an official notification, which read, 'In continuation to the Institute's Important Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/2025 dated 13th January 2025 read with Important Announcement No. 13-CA (EXAM)/2025/II dated 8th May 2025 it is hereby announced for general information that in view of the favourable developments in the security situations in the country; it has now been decided that the Chartered Accountants Final, Intermediate and INTT-AT (PQC) examinations earlier scheduled from 9th May 2025 to 14th May 2025 will now be held from 16th May 2025 to 24th May 2025.' The institute has already shared the admit cards, and there will be no changes in the exam centres or timings. All the students are advised to appear at their assigned centres on the new dates mentioned. CA Foundation exam The CA Foundation exam will take place as per the original schedule, i.e., on 15, 17, 19 and 21 May 2025. ICAI CA May 2025 Exams: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has deferred the remaining papers of the CA Final, Intermediate, and Post Qualification Course (PQC) exams, including the International Taxation - Assessment Test (INTT AT), scheduled for May 2025. The postponement has been announced in light of prevailing security concerns in the country. Originally, the postponed exams were to be held between May 9 and 14. ICAI has stated that revised dates will be communicated in due course. Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official website - - for updates. According to the CA May 2025 timetable, the CA Final Group I exams were conducted on May 2, 4, and 6, while Group II was set for May 8, 10, and 13. For the Intermediate level, Group I papers were held on May 3, 5, and 7, while the Group II exams - originally scheduled for May 9, 11, and 14 - have now been postponed. The CA Foundation exams remain unaffected and will take place as scheduled on May 15, 17, 19, and 21. These exams are being conducted in international cities including Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, Kathmandu (Nepal), Kuwait, Muscat, Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), and Thimphu (Bhutan). Candidates appearing for the Foundation, Intermediate, and Final exams can write their papers in either English or Hindi. However, the International Taxation (INTT-AT) exam will be conducted only in English. Meanwhile, the University of Kashmir has also postponed all its exams. A revised schedule will be issued separately, the university confirmed.
