GMFS Crawford County Mental Health Center!
Jason Southard, LSCSW and Director of Access with CCMHC stopped in because he has a new partnership to talk about! CCMHC and the Pittsburg Kansas Police Department have teamed up together for this years drug take-back program! On Saturday, April 26th, from 10am-2pm the Pittsburg Police Department will serve as a drop-off site for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. The DEA, Pittsburg Police Department, and CCMHC will collect tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription medication that are no longer in use. It is very important that prescription medications be disposed of properly, and not in a trash bin or down the toilet! The take-back event is located at 201 N. Pine St., Pittsburg, Kansas. They ask to please keep sharps, needles, injections and aerosol containers (inhalers) separate from other prescription medications. Due to their nature, these items will need to be disposed of separately. Visit for more inforation on the event. For more information on CCMHC, head to
