Alpha Modus Ventures Files Patent Infringement Lawsuit Against Cisco Systems

Alpha Modus Ventures sues Cisco CORNELIUS, N.C., June 11, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Alpha Modus Ventures, LLC ('AMV'), the entity that recently filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Broadcom Inc. on April 22, 2025, and engaged a patent monetization and funding agreement with Alpha Modus Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMOD), today announced that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CSCO) in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas, Austin Division on June 9, 2025. The case alleges that Cisco has infringed three patents owned by AMV related to its breakthrough Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE) technology. The complaint asserts that certain of Cisco's networking and data center products, including at least its Unified Computing System and Converged Network Adapters (CNAs), infringe U.S. Patent Nos. 11,108,591, 11,310,077, and 11,303,473, which are directed to methods and systems enabling efficient transport of Fibre Channel traffic over Ethernet networks. AMV is seeking monetary damages for Cisco's past use of the patented technology, alleging that Cisco's unauthorized use of this innovation resulted in significant commercial benefit at the expense of AMV's proprietary rights. Alpha Modus CEO William Alessi stated, 'This lawsuit represents our unwavering commitment to protecting the intellectual property rights that form the foundation of technological leadership that AMOD holds interest in. We believe our shareholders deserve recognition and compensation for the unauthorized use of these innovations.' The case is styled Alpha Modus Ventures, LLC v. Right at Home hosts graduation in Morgantown for latest round of CNAs

MORGANTOWN, (WBOY) — Right at Home, an in-home medical care company, is offering classes in Morgantown to help people become CNAs, or Certified Nursing Assistants, and on Thursday, the company hosted a graduation ceremony for some of its newest ones. CNAs work in direct patient care, including moving patients, bathing, feeding and checking their vitals. Right at Home representatives told 12 News that getting certified as a CNA can be a valuable stepping stone to working in healthcare, but it is also valuable work in itself. Monongalia County sophomores sign with WVU Medicine accelerator program MedEd 'CNAs are the backbone. They're the unsung heroes, the ones you don't hear about. They're the ones who do most of the direct patient care. RN's and LPN's do it also. So it has to be a team effort, we need all the team players, and they're often the unsung heroes that are kind of in the background but you don't see better doing most of the work,' CNA Instructor for Right at Home Jackie Gorbey said. Right at Home offers several options for this course, including a 10-week version where you can pay for the class by working for Right at Home. After graduating, new CNAs are free to work wherever they want. If you were interested in becoming a CNA, Right at Home said that it should be starting up another class in a few weeks. Rooted in compassion: New nurse and MCH leader reflect on the heart of healthcare

ODESSA, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- For Arelhi Clavijo, nursing isn't just a career; it's a calling rooted in family, compassion, and a desire to serve. A recent Odessa College graduate now working at a local hospital, Clavijo is among the newest generation of nurses stepping into the profession with both purpose and perseverance. And as she begins her journey, she's not alone. Leaders like Dr. Timothy Benton, the new Chief Medical Officer at Medical Center Health System, are working to ensure nurses and physicians alike are supported as they care for the community. Clavijo graduated from Odessa College in December 2024 and began working as a registered nurse just four months ago. Though new to the field, her passion runs deep. 'Both my parents were CNAs and worked at a nursing home,' she said. 'Growing up around that, I saw how important their work was, and that made me want to pursue nursing and make a difference in people's lives.' A second chance, a first step: Inside Odessa College's Nursing Programs She chose Odessa College for its reputation, affordability, and proximity to home. 'They have a really good nursing program,' she said. 'In five years, I hope to be furthering my education and gaining as much experience as I can. I want to be the best nurse I can be, every single day.' That personal drive mirrors the philosophy of Dr. Benton, who has recently stepped into the role of CMO at MCH. Having served on the medical staff for over a decade, Benton says he hopes to support the dedicated workers by helping ease their burdens and strengthening the connection between caregivers and patients. Related: Medical Center Hospital names Dr. Timothy Benton as New Chief Medical Officer 'My job is to help ease the burdens on physicians and to be a bridge between business and patient care,' Benton said. 'This is about servant leadership. I want to support the people taking care of the patients.' Previously, Benton held the role of regional dean at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He worked closely with both MCH and Odessa College to foster partnerships aimed at building the healthcare workforce of the future. 'I think it's critical that hospitals and colleges work hand in hand,' Benton said. 'That's the pipeline for the next generation of caregivers, whether it's nurses or physicians. If we don't invest in them now, we won't have the healthcare workers we need tomorrow.' At MCH, more than 500 physicians have hospital privileges, not including hundreds of advanced practice providers and support staff. Benton says part of his vision is to use technology to alleviate administrative burdens and restore the core of medical work: caring for patients. 'All of us went into this field to spend time with patients,' he said. 'Technology can help us get back to that by handling some of the behind-the-scenes tasks and freeing up doctors and nurses to focus on what matters.' As a first-year nurse, Clavijo says she's grateful to be part of a system that values support and growth. 'My advice to other nursing students is to take it one day at a time and never lose sight of why you started,' she said. It's a message echoed by both Benton and Clavijo: healthcare isn't just a system, it's a relationship. And in West Texas, that relationship is built on education, empathy, and a community committed to caring. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
