PUNTERS backing COMEDIAN LEADER (5.15, Nap) could have the last laugh at Brighton in the Call Star Sports on 08000 521 521 Handicap on Tuesday afternoon. The five-year-old, trained by Jim and Suzi Best, produced a career-best last time when landing a handicap over course and distance by a neck, from one of today's rivals Havana Mojito.

At Brighton, POETIC FORCE (2.20, nb) could be underestimated in the Star Sports Brighton Owners Series Apprentice Handicap. The Tony Carroll-trained son of Lope De Vega has raced a remarkable 108 times and, at aged 11, is the oldest by far in the field. But he still has something to offer. The gelding is more of a all-weather specialist but his Turf form is better at the Sussex track than anywhere else. He also looks to be on a fair handicap mark and is down in trip to a more suitable seven furlongs after finishing fifth, beaten just three lengths, at Wolverhampton last time over nine furlongs.
