Hyundai India's FY25 net profit drops 7% to ₹5,640 crore

Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has reported a 7 per cent year-on-year fall in its profit after tax in FY25 at ₹5,640 crore as against ₹6,060 crore in the year-ago period. In the fourth quarter (Q4) of FY24, the carmaker registered a 3.7 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit at ₹1,614 crore, compared to ₹1,677 crore reported in the corresponding period of previous fiscal.. . However, on a quarter-on-quarter basis, it registered a jump of 39 per cent in its PAT. The company said it has reported its highest-ever domestic SUV contribution at 68.5 per cent. The CRETA retained its lead in the midsize SUV segment with a market share of over 30 per cent. Its domestic sales stood at 599,000 units, while export volumes were reported at 163,000 units. HMIL launched the Creta Electric during the year, marking the company's entry into the electric vehicle segment. The Board of Directors has recommended a dividend of ₹21 per share (210 per cent on face value of ₹10 per share), subject to shareholder approval.
