Dramatic video shows bold armored truck robbery on Valentine's Day in Memphis
Memphis Police are investigating an armored truck robbery at a bank ATM that was captured on video.
On Friday, Feb. 14, at 8:20 a.m. Memphis Police officers responded to a robbery call at First Horizon Bank at 140 Mitchell Road in Southwest Memphis. No arrests have been made.
Officers were told three male suspects in a white Nissan Altima, who were armed with assault rifles, robbed an armored truck as the employee was servicing an ATM at the bank. The robbers took a large amount of cash according to police.
Police released video of the incident as the search for robbery suspects intensified.
One portion of the video, apparently pulled from a traffic camera as a school bus waits at the intersection, shows a vehicle matching the suspects pulling out of the gas station. Another portion of the video captures the moments when the robbers surprised the armored-car employee with their rifles.
The three suspects in the white Nissan Altima were described as follows:
Suspect #1: A thin man in his mid-20s, approximately 5'10', wearing a black hoodie, black pants, red gloves and a black ski mask. He was armed with a black assault rifle.
Suspect #2: A man with an average build, approximately 5'11' – 6'0″, wearing a red/white Coke jacket, blue jeans, gray gloves and a black ski mask. He was armed with a black assault rifle.
Suspect #3: A thin man in his mid-20s, approximately 5'10', wearing a black hoodie, black pants, red gloves and a black ski mask. He was armed with a black assault rifle.
