3-month-old puppy needs forever home

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – If you are looking for a faithful companion to share your summer days with, there's a pup waiting for you. Meet Kylie, she's a 3-month-old Catahoula Leopard Dog-Blackmouth Cur-mix who arrived at Caddo Parish Animal Services on May 12th along with her siblings Kendall and Cane. Kylie has been adapting well since arriving at the shelter, but her personality will truly blossom when she settles into her forever home. 'She's a very calm puppy but when she's given the chance though she does like to run around and play. She loves to sit in your lap and just get attention,' says Kim Freeman, Adoption and Volunteer Coordinator. The adoption fee for each puppy is $50, which covers the cost of a microchip and up-to-date vaccinations. Kylie has already been spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated, so you'll be in and out the door in no time. For more information, visit Caddo Parish Animal Services. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. Rescue a pup on National Dog Rescue Day

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS)- May 20th marks National Dog Rescue Day, and Caddo Parish Animal Services is using the day to spotlight the importance of adopting rescue pets and to introduce one very special pup named Natasha. Kim Freeman with Caddo Parish Animal Services shares Natasha's story. Natasha and her brother Boris arrived at the shelter about six weeks ago as strays and are both still looking for loving homes. 'National Dog Rescue Day is a great time to come out and adopt,' Freeman said. 'You're not just changing one animal's life you're also opening up space in the shelter for another pet in need.' Freeman also addressed common misconceptions about adopting rescue animals. 'People worry about not knowing an animal's history, but what we see most are incredibly grateful pets who give so much love in return,' she said. All pets adopted from Caddo Parish Animal Services are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before going to their new homes. Natasha is fully vetted and ready to be adopted for just $50. Those interested in Natasha, Boris, or any of the shelter's other animals are encouraged to visit the facility and meet their potential new family member. Blue-eyed pup needs forever home

SHREVEPORT, La. (KTAL/KMSS) – Meet Judah, a sweet and adorable 7-week-old pup looking for a family to call his own. Judah arrived at Caddo Parish Animal Services on April 14th and has been adapting well. However, he is ready for someone to fall in love with his ocean blue eyes and take him home to start making memories. Judah is a Catahoula Leopard Dog-Terrier-mix, and according to Caddo Parish Animal Services, the breed mix suggests that with the right training, these pups will be intelligent, loyal and gentle members of the family. Kim Freeman, Adoption and Volunteer Coordinator, says Judah will grow into a medium to large size adult, so a fenced yard and active families will suit him best. If you are interested in adopting Judah, just visit Caddo Parish Animal Services at 1500 Monty Street, pay the $50 adoption fee and fill out some paperwork. You'll be in and out the door with your new companion in no time!
