Midway hoops alum returns home, transfers to Baylor
WACO, Texas (FOX 44) — The Waco community will welcome a familiar face to the Foster Pavilion next season after former Midway Panthers basketball alum and Rice transfer Caden Powell announced his commitment to Baylor Men's Basketball on Monday. Powell averaged 10.4 points and 7.2 rebounds per game for the Rice Owls last season after playing his first two years at Wyoming. After not having much frontcourt depth a season ago, Powell becomes the second big-man transfer for Scott Drew's squad following the commitment of back-to-back Big South Defensive Player of the Year Juslin Bodo Bodo.
