Driver flown to hospital after vehicles collide in Champaign Co. collision
DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — Two vehicles collided and hit a third vehicle in Champaign County Wednesday. The Ohio State Highway Patrol Springfield Post is investigating a crash that was reported around 1:30 p.m. around the area of East Kanagy Road and Ludlow Road in Salem Township. Funeral services held for Morrow County deputy fatally shot on Memorial Day Investigation revealed a 1999 Ford Ranger was traveling southbound on Ludlow Road when a 2017 International MA025 truck traveling westbound on Kanagy Road failed to stop at a posted stop sign. The vehicles collided and traveled off the side of the road, where the MA025 truck overturned. The Ford Ranger struck an unoccupied 2016 Cadillac SRX that was parked on private property. The Ford Ranger driver was transported to Miami Valley Hospital via CareFlight for a serious, non-life-threatening injury, according to OSP. 19-year-old flown to hospital after area crash
A 19-year-old is seriously injured after a crash in Champaign County on Wednesday, according to a spokesperson with the Ohio State Highway Patrol. A preliminary investigation found that the driver of the box truck didn't stop at a stop sign and hit the pickup truck, the spokesperson said. Both vehicles drove off the side of Kanagy Road. The box truck overturned and the pickup truck hit an unoccupied Cadillac SRX parked on private property. CareFlight took the 19-year-old to Miami Valley Hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, according to the spokesperson. Salem man dies in crash on I-293 in Manchester
Mar. 20—A Salem man died in a multiple-vehicle accident on Interstate 293 north in Manchester on Thursday, snarling traffic during the morning commute. John Vangelder, 72, was thrown from his pickup truck and sustained fatal injuries from the crash, reported around 8:20 a.m., according to State Police. The crash happened between the Brown Avenue and South Willow Street exits. A preliminary investigation showed that the two vehicles involved in the crash were a red Ford F-150 pickup truck and a black Cadillac SRX, police said. The driver of the Cadillac SRX was identified as James Drago, 48, of Amherst. Drago was not injured and remained on scene to cooperate with the investigation. Multiple northbound lanes had to be closed with the last of the lanes reopening at 11:15 a.m. Police said what led up to the crash was under investigation. Woman sentenced for driving with BAC 3X legal limit in Stockdale Hwy crash
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A woman was sentenced to a year in jail Thursday for a vehicle crash last year that resulted in injuries and in which she drove with a blood-alcohol content more than three times the legal limit, according to court records. Daisy Gonzalez pleaded no contest in January to two felony drunken driving counts. Prosecutors have said she also faced three years' felony probation and must pay restitution, receive mental health treatment and attend a one-year substance abuse program. Gonzalez after the crash provided a breath sample that registered her BAC at 0.27%, according to a court filing. The legal limit is 0.08%. On the afternoon of Feb. 20, 2024, a Ford Flex, its hazard lights activated, was parked along the south curb of Stockdale Highway east of Stine Road as its occupants offered a pedestrian a ride. They were placing a bicycle in the vehicle when a Cadillac SRX driven by Gonzalez hit the Ford, its two occupants and the pedestrian, according to a court filing. Salem man killed following crash on I-293
Around 8:20 A.M. on Thursday, New Hampshire State Troopers were alerted of a serious crash on I-293 Northbound at mile marker 24. Upon arrival, officers found two vehicles, a red Ford F-150 and a Black Cadillac SRX, involved in the crash. Initial investigation revealed that the driver of the F-150, 72-year-old John Vangelder of Salem, New Hampshire, had been thrown out of his vehicle, suffering fatal injuries. The driver of the Cadillac SFX. 48-year-old James Drago of Amherst, New Hampshire was uninjured and remained on scene to assist in the investigation.
