Edinburgh cafe thanks hero fire crews who 'jumped into duty' after medical incident
An Edinburgh cafe has thanked passing fire crews who jumped into duty after a medical incident.
The owner of Cafe Grande in Bruntsfield said an older man had become unwell, as they tried to help. A crew from The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were passing, and 'piled out and swung into paramedic duty'.
They helped the owner, and the man, and have been hailed as a 'brilliant bunch'.

Posting to Facebook, Cafe Grande said: "Very thankful to this lot.
"A few days ago I was trying to help an older local man who had had a medical incident. The crew, just passing by, saw help was needed, all piled out, swung into paramedic duty - helped me and helped him.
"Brilliant bunch, thank you."

One local resident commented: "Not only was this the right and proper thing for the Crew to do but it gains admiration from the public. Good job SFRS!"
Another added: "I saw you when passing. Well done you, and The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service!"
The SFRS have been approached for comment.
