DII Elite 8 coaches facing transfer portal challenges amid tournament
EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – The DII Elite 8 for men's basketball is about to wrap up with the National Championship on Saturday. Cal St. Dom. Hills will face Nova Southeastern in the Ford Center at 2 p.m.
Throughout the week, the last eight teams left standing have been in Evansville. Many of the coaches talked about the transfer portal and some of the issues they've faced with it.
While the tournament is ongoing, the portal opened up on March 25th. That means that these programs are having to recruit, while trying to win a national championship.
