Kate Middleton and Prince William went from college sweethearts to a lasting royal romance.
The Prince and Princess of Wales wed on April 29, 2011, 10 years after they met as students at St. Andrews University. They held a lavish wedding at Westminster Abbey in London, attended by A-listers like Elton John and his husband David Furnish, as well as David and Victoria Beckham.
Together, the couple share three children: George, born in 2013, Charlotte, born in 2015 and Louis, born in 2017.
"They look after each other but in different ways,' a friend of the couple told PEOPLE in a 2019 cover story. 'Some people might say it's an old-fashioned marriage, but it seems to work.'
