Calinos Entertainment has announced that its hit drama series Farah will soon debut in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Portugal, further expanding the show's international footprint. Originally produced by O3 Medya and broadcast on Turkey's NOW, Farah has already been licensed in 84 countries, with notable sales in Spain, Italy, Brazil, and across regions including MENA, Africa and the Balkans. Aslı Serim, Head of Sales at Istanbul-based Calinos Entertainment, said: 'We are beyond excited to introduce 'Farah' to Bosnia and Herzegovina & Portugal, adding to its remarkable reach of 84 countries. Starring Demet Ozdemir, Engin Akyurek, Firat Tanis, Senan Kara, Lale Basar, Oktay Cubuk, Mustafa Avkiran and Ali Surmeli, Farah tells the story of an Iranian woman who flees her homeland and navigates life in Istanbul. Working as a cleaning lady to support her son's medical treatment, she becomes entangled with the mafia as the plot progresses. Farah was one of the brightest students at one of Iran's leading medical schools, until months before she had to flee. But she and her entire family ruthlessly pay the price for a man's failure to reciprocate her love, and Farah flees to Turkey, unaware that she is pregnant with a boy. Seven years later, this bright future woman is forced to work as a cleaning lady in order to provide for herself and her son. The series, written by Deniz Dargi, M. Cem Gorgec and S. Cenk Bogatur, is a Turkish adaptation of the original Argentinian drama.
