The national road is a busy stretch which connects
Earlier this year, the area was called a "death trap" at a meeting of local residents.
One member of the organising committee, nurse Bernie Mullally said: "It's absolutely crazy how many lives have been taken on that road, and to still have no measures put in place by any of the authorities, despite over a 360 percent increase in road users since the last traffic survey.

"The only way the people of
"Year on year this 5km narrow corridor has been the scene of numerous road traffic accidents and fatalities and is certainly not fit for purpose in its current state."
She finished by saying that "we need to wake up and do something about it".

It's a dangerous road with many houses, roads and farm access on both side of the road between the roundabout at Slieverue and the roundabout in Glenmore.

More than 80 people have been killed on the road in the last 40 years.
And this year alone, two women were killed on the N25.
Meanwhile last year, 174 people were killed on Irish roads.
The new speeding camera aims to enforce road rules and catch drivers in the act of speeding.
Anyone caught speeding will be issued a fixed point penalty fine.
It comes as part of a "Safety Cameras Save Lives" initiative by Gardai, where individual roads were assessed by collision and speed data.
A static speed camera is one that is fixed in place to record a driver's speed in one particular spot.
