Pring signs three-year extension until 2028
Bristol City defender Cameron Pring has signed a new contract with the club to stay until the summer of 27-year-old has made 146 appearances for the Robins since his debut in 2021, including 33 games this who can play on the left side of defence or midfield, or at centre-back, joined the club in 2016 from Cheltenham's academy."After the ups of last season I have always wanted to stay longer and being from Bristol, I am delighted to sign for another three years," Pring said."After last season all the boys want to push on and go again." Pring has had two periods out with hamstring injuries in 2025 and missed the final two matches of the campaign and the play-off first-leg defeat by Sheffield United, but played much of the second-leg as they were beaten 6-0 on aggregate."We are delighted to get this extension done. Pring could be fit to face Blades in play-offs
Pring could be fit to face Blades in play-offs [Rex Features] Bristol City boss Liam Manning says there is a "slight possibility" wing-back Cameron Pring could be fit to face Sheffield United in the Championship play-off semi-final first leg. Pring missed the last two games of the regular season with a hamstring injury having started eight of the previous 10 league matches. The Robins welcome the Blades to Ashton Gate on Thursday and have no fresh injury concerns, according to Manning. ADVERTISEMENT Advertisement "Everyone came through Saturday OK," he told BBC Radio Bristol. "Cameron Pring, there is a slight possibility of him playing, we have to weigh up the risk of all of it. We will see how he responds. "Most of our lads can play two positions which is important when you run a small squad." Ross McCrorie started at left wing-back in Pring's absence and scored both goals in City's 2-2 draw with Preston on Saturday. But McCrorie is naturally a right-sided player, while Yu Hirakawa also impressed filling in at right wing-back. "I will be awake for the next few nights trying to pick a team," Manning added.

'Stretched' Bristol City without injured Pring
Bristol City left-back Cameron Pring is set to miss the final two games of the Championship season, against Leeds United and Preston North End, because of a hamstring was substituted 20 minutes into the defeat by Luton Town on Easter Monday and had a scan on Thursday to assess the extent of the 27-year-old, who has made 32 league appearances this season, also missed eight matches in January and February with a hamstring injury."It's not looking good. We don't know the seriousness. I can't see him being involved in the last two [games] to be honest," manager Liam Manning told BBC Radio also said midfielder Joe Williams - an unused substitute against Luton - was a doubt for Monday's trip to Elland Road to face promoted Leeds because of a quad injury. "It'll be tight again. His quad flared up a little bit in the Sunderland game. We did a half job before of settling it enough where he can play through the pain," Manning added."That's the stage we're at - we've got a few that are carrying knocks and bits that will need addressing in the summer, but with the position we're in everybody's pushing themselves through the pain, and we need that." 'We know we're light' Bristol City need three points from their remaining two league games, at Leeds and at home to Preston, to secure a place in the play-offs for the first time since Robins, however, are already without winger Mark Sykes for the rest of the season because of a quad issue, while playmaker Scott Twine has played only 48 minutes over the past three matches as he is "managed" back from injury. Teenager Elijah Morrison came on for the final 14 minutes against the Hatters in only his fourth Championship said the response of the players "speaks volumes" of how all-in they are for the club. "We're stretched, we know we're light - our lads have given absolutely everything," Manning said. "I think what the group have done a terrific job of is when we've lost somebody, be it through injury, suspension, or we've changed things - people coming into the team have stepped up and delivered. "That doesn't change. It's the same message, same approach - we need everyone to be at their best."
