Here are the most popular campsites in the UK – with cocktail bars and play parks from just £14 a night

THE UK's best campsites have been revealed - and there is enough for both kids and adults. Go Outdoors has put together a list of the best campsites around England, some of which have cocktail bars, play parks, games rooms and are even a short walk from the beach. 6 6 The results are based on the average summer temperature, the cost of a three-night stay and the availability of onsite shops. As well as the rating out of five, the percentage of people who would recommend staying at the campsite, and the number of outdoor activities within 10km of the campsite were also considered. Number one on the list is Orcaber Farm Caravan and Camping Park near Settle. The camping site is outside the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is a great location for keen hikers and adventurers. There's lots to see from mountain peaks like Ingleborough, Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside to see, as well as caves and waterfalls. It's easy to get to thanks to the Carlisle train station. They also offer homemade pizzas and takeaway food on Saturday nights. You can camp there from £14 per night, which includes large, flat electric pitches (10 metres by 15 metres) – and most have a picnic table. Also available are camping pods which can sleep up to four people and are equipped with lighting and electric sockets for charging devices. UK's Premier Scottish Caravan Site: Camping & Glamping Gold Standard 6 6 The pods still don't include beds so you have to bring your own blow-up air mattresses. These are available from £40 per night. It also has an on-site shop and a 4.89 rating from customers, with 96 per cent of visitors recommending it. They gave the campsite an overal score of 9.07 out of 10. Wooda Farm Holiday Park in Bude received a score of 8.84 with 90 per cent of visitors recommending the site, placing it in second. This five-star holiday park opened in 1975 and has everything you could ever need, including a bar and grill, takeaway, cocktail bar, coffee shop, and farm shop. It was also Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice 2024 and is an 8-minute drive to Sandymouth Bay Beach. A three-night stay at Wooda Farm Holiday Park costs around £99 throughout July. In joint second place was Burton Springs, which is for anyone who wants a lakeside camping experience. 6 It is five minutes from the coast and is a great area for keen anglers as there are three lakes on-site. Supplies for fishing can be borrowed from the site. They also have a shop, showers, play park and games room. In the nearby town of Bridgwater, you will find the historical infirmary, the Royal Clarence Hotel, and The Old Vicarage. There is also an Arts Centre for those who want to join a performance, music, or film class. One visitors on Tripadvisor said: "The dog field, play park and games room were a great hit for our dogs and 4 year old." Another added: "A beautiful site, dad and partner loved the fishing on the lake, kids loved the games room and park and made lots of friends." A three-night stay at the campsite costs approximately £60 throughout July. Impressively, 99 per cent of visitors would recommend staying there, and the average temperatures in Somerset reach 15C. Taking that into account, Go Outdoors also gave Burton Springs a score of 8.84. And here are some of the most idyllic camping destinations around the UK. 6

I bought a caravan off a traveller – it's been a nightmare since I got it & it nearly caught on fire – but it's my fault

Despite having endless issues with the caravan, Jessica Brown explained that it is still the best thing she's ever done. 2 Jessica has revealed that she recently bought a caravan Credit: TikTok Taking to her TikTok account, 'jessicabrown2982', she shared a video of her caravan, revealing exactly what it has been like since purchasing it. In the video, she explained how the issues are 'not for the reasons you might think' — but that the issues were coming from her own actions. First off, Jessica explained that they weren't able to use their table — which comes out of the wall — because they pushed it 'so far back into the wardrobe.' She also revealed how she ripped through the wire fuse box, which meant she was left with no electricity. She then added that she nearly managed to set the caravan on fire by plugging in a faulty extension lead, before adding that she put her 'big fluffy bunny' against it — but it made it so hot it melted through the plug socket. Jessica also explained that she got wall tiles which keep peeling off, as well as lino flooring. She also added that she didn't have her caravan serviced, which meant she couldn't use the hob or the oven. But despite all these issues, Jessica explained that she couldn't 'fault it' — although she has got a 'leak in the roof.' The video was captioned: "Was getting a caravan off of a traveller a bad idea? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!" Within 15 hours of sharing the video, Jessica gained 16.4k views with many people rushing to the comments section to share their thoughts. UK's Premier Scottish Caravan Site: Camping & Glamping Gold Standard She also clarified how she was "absolutely pro traveller community." One person commented: "Looks great though! Bet you'll have some brilliant holidays." A second added: "It will come together at least you get away when you want too, always a silver lining." A third suggested: "Scrap it! leaky roof, will end up with damp and mould all through the trailer!" But Jessica replied: "Na!! She's a good old girl." Jessica previously revealed that she wanted the caravan to use for holidays with her kids. 2 She revealed how she nearly set her caravan on fire Credit: TikTok She shared another video of the Sterling Wayfarer on her TikTok page, explaining that it was "the best thing I ever did!" Jessica insisted: "We need to stop all this discrimination and prejudice towards these kinds of things because the amount of people that I had telling me not to do it, it might be this, it might be that. "But what if it's not? Why are we judging people just for what we hear from other stories?" She also explained that she did "background checks" on the caravan, before gushing: "It's fantastic and I honestly sing the praise for whoever lived in this because my God had they looked after this!" Jess also previously revealed that her caravan was "pristine" and is working on it "just modernise it a little bit".
