Woman killed in 3-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon in Natchitoches Parish
A Natchitoches woman died Friday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in Natchitoches Parish, according to Louisiana State Police.
The crash happened on La. Highway 6 at Collins Road, not far from Interstate 49, reads a news release.
The initial investigation found that a 2015 GMC 2500, driven by David W. Cross of Deville, and a 2020 Honda CRV, driven by Doris L. Nichols, both were westbound on La. 6. Nichols was making a left turn onto Collins Road, but Cross didn't stop for her and rear-ended the CRV, it reads.

Because of that, the CRV went into the eastbound lane and was hit by a 2000 Ford pickup truck.
Nichols, 58, was wearing a seat belt but died at the scene, reads the release.
Cross, 45, was wearing a seat belt but was not injured. The unidentified driver of the Ford also was wearing a seat belt and was taken to a hospital for moderate injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
