39 Uncancellable Celebrities Fans Could Never Hate

Let's be real: in the age of cancel culture, some celebs definitely deserve to get called out. One wrong move, one problematic tweet from 2009, and boom — the internet has spoken (for good reason!). But somehow, a few celebs have managed to exist in a near-mythical zone of immunity. Like, I'm certain a celeb's name just popped into your head when you read that. Recently, we asked the BuzzFeed Community to share the celebs they think are so beloved that the internet could "literally never, ever, ever" make them turn against them. And the responses were nothing short of fascinating! Here's what people said: "Tom Hanks." —matthewk46357defc"Everyone says Tom is great. He is a big space enthusiast too, as I am."—neil59"We've got a friend in him."—goosethekitty "Brie Larson." "I was such a fan of her for years before she joined Marvel, and it bothered me so much how so many people (mostly men) tried to turn the whole world against her for quite genuinely no good reason."—wickedsun2973"I'm just disappointed that she's allergic to cats."—goosethekitty "Taylor Swift." "She gets so much hate for no reason. People try to belittle her music, but all they've ever heard are her radio hits. She's a brilliant songwriter and artist. And she's kind and generous."—bizzybeez"Everyone's reasons for hating her are unreasonable. Like, I see if she doesn't fit your music taste, but hating on her as a person is just not right."—sillysun252"People keep making shit up about Taylor. I think they're just a bunch of freaking whiners."—Austinb137 "Zendaya." "She seems like a person you can just hang out with and have a really good, in-depth conversation."—icyjellyfish17 "Tom Holland." "He is so kind and sweet to Zendaya, and the best boyfriend ever."—sillysun252 "Selena Gomez." "Been a fan of hers since Disney Channel. Love her music, the fact that she addresses mental health, and openly talks about life with lupus."—gabmar94 "Keanu Reeves." —chevlee25"Most Canadian."—kaybee1"Most excellent."—goosethekitty "Sabrina Carpenter." "I don't get how anyone can hate her."—gernumbligardensi62442 "Rachel Zegler." "She's such a positive person, a theatre kid who got thrown into the crazy world of Hollywood and has been given the short end of the stick at nearly every project. The industry picks on her solely because she's so young, kind, and passionate."—oviewankanobi "Bad Bunny." "He's got good music, he makes people aware about issues that go on in Puerto Rico, he's proud of his heritage, and he's a supporter of progressive causes.—goosethekitty "Meghan Markle." "I just do NOT understand the hate. She seems like a lovely person and her new Netflix show is exactly the hygge programming I need in this hellscape."—silkycoach893"The vitriol towards her is unjustified. If someone can't do a single thing right in your eyes, you're the issue, not them."–fiercewitch523 "Terry Crews." —silversun123"I love him like Terry loves yogurt (i.e. a lot). He and his daughter were randomly in my tour group on a hike in Hawaii over the summer!"—pepperopigeon "Scarlett Johansson." "Controversial perhaps, but I think she gets a bad rap. She calls out hypocrisy and stands up for herself, and all people ever do is act like she's the worst while forgiving other actors for the same sins. She was nominated for two Oscars in one year recently, and people acted like she personally refused to let any POC get nominated. It's insane."—garebehr "Julie Andrews." "She could probably kill someone and I'd be like 'eh, he probably had it coming. Now let's sing 'My Favourite Things'!'"—leahm491b1c910"She probably would get away with it, too!"—clumsysword1182 "Billie Eilish." "She seems like such a kind person, and she cares about people and animals. She's also funny."—psychicsundae7347 "There are a lot of great celebs out there, but I want to pick Colin Firth, Cillian Murphy, and Tom Hardy." "I' I'd have a field day with those three!"—sixthtryatadamnusername "John Candy." —patrickkeown"This. John Candy forever and ever."—lootgrim "Post Malone." —crazyclare"He's such a genuine and sweet guy."—frigginfrogs "Lady Gaga." "Truly a legend."—angrycrocodile764 "Andrew Garfield." "The way he hypes up and respects his costars, always unafraid to show love and admiration to the world around him, remains incredibly kind to the world, is constantly talking about his late mother with such beautiful sentiment, doesn't take himself too seriously, advocates for good causes, and is just a joy."—oviewankanobi "Stephen Colbert." "He is simply joy, laughter, and kindness in human form."—thequirkyone "Joe Keery. Or Gaten Matarazzo." "I'm sorry! They're just so funny! You could have a laugh with both of 'em! I just love them."—freshsalt436 "Stevie Wonder." "A great humanitarian, activist, and one the best musicians of our time."—marianmooret "Mine is an unpopular choice: Jason Kelce." "They're trying really hard to make everyone hate him, but I'll never stop liking him. The dude was too solid for too long."—psychiclamp221 "Dolly Parton." "Everyone loves that lady."—edgyzebra76 "Andy Samberg." "He is actually so fine, and he makes me so happy when I watch him on Brooklyn Nine-Nine and SNL."—cornytrash665 "Jake Gyllenhaal." "…I'm literally a Swiftie tho."—cowboys_dont_cry "Mr. Rogers." "If people don't wanna be his friend, I will go beat them up personally."—zeldaeow "Will Smith." "I don't agree with his actions at The Oscars, but I have loved Will Smith since he was The Fresh Prince! I follow him on all his socials and he just seems to be so genuine and full of life!"—reginaswilliams "Unless he becomes straight-up murderous, Bill Hader." "As someone with anxiety I feel so happy that a famous person is open to discussing their struggles."—sdn31975 "Drew Barrymore." "She tells what she feels and is so open."—wittydolphin836 "Zayn Malik." "Some 'fans' hate on him for leaving One Direction, but that was for necessary reasons."—hotgluea5 "I could never, ever hate John Krasinski and Emily Blunt." "They're so hilarious and spirited. Best power couple ever."—sparklychinchilla13 "I could never ever hate Millie Bobby Brown." "She is so sweet and so talented. There is nothing that she could ever do to make me hate her."—clumsysword1182 "Evan Peters." "My life would would not be complete without seeing him in movies, shows, and films like American Horror Story."—cadence_a "Rebecca Ferguson." "She seems so elegant, poised, and kind."—nicolynheft "John Goodman." "I'm a millennial so I grew up watching him on Roseanne. He was the everyday middle class dad who clearly loved and fought for his kids. He battled alcoholism and came out the other end that much better. Everyone who works with him loves him. He has no scandals, and has proven he's an all-around wonderful human. He doesn't get enough love."—msgoldylocks "Ralph Macchio." "He could burn my house down and I'd apologize."—mxcchio- "Dean Lewis." "He's a talented singer and seems like a really nice guy. Anyone who hasn't heard his music yet should give it a try."—fluffyghoul1435 Now it's your turn! Which celeb could they never, ever make you hate? Tell me in the comments below! Blanchet's Canada "Artificial Country" remark sparks identity debate in election

Tired of too many ads? Remove Ads A Series of Criticisms Tired of too many ads? Remove Ads Blanchet's Defense Tired of too many ads? Remove Ads Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet has made a controversial statement calling Canada an 'artificial country'. His remark during a campaign stop in Shawinigan, Quebec, sparked national debate as election tensions reached a fever comment came in response to a question about his prior description of the House of Commons as a "foreign parliament " where he sits. "It's a foreign parliament because this nation is not mine," Blanchet explained. "I don't feel more at ease in the Canadian Parliament than (Alberta Premier Danielle) Smith would feel at ease in the National Assembly of Quebec." He then went on to describe Canada as an "artificial country."The comment quickly drew swift condemnation from political leaders across the political party, reflecting a rare cross party consensus. Nova Scotia Premier Tim Houston expressed his dismay in an open letter, calling the statement 'insulting' and questioning Blanchet's commitment to the country he has served as a politician since 2008."I find it difficult to find the words to adequately describe how insulting this statement is to all Canadians and to our great nation," Mr. Houston wrote. He further questioned Blanchet's commitment, "What is it about Canada that you don't like? You have been a politician since 2008, paid by Canadians, why haven't you done your part to work towards improving this country we should all love so dearly?"Prime Minister Mark Carney said, 'It's for others to judge, to form their own opinion, of those comments. I reject them completely. This is an incredible country. I'm incredibly proud to be Canadian.'Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre also pushed back sharply online, calling Blanchet's remarks 'insulting and false.' He added, 'Canada is a strong, proud and sovereign country with a rich history. As Prime Minister, I will always defend Canada and make it stronger than ever before.'NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh, warned that such comments only weaken Canada at a precarious time. 'We've got Donald Trump attacking us. We don't need attacks from the inside like that,' Singh said. 'We're proud of our nation. Obviously, there are things we need to improve, but to bolster the attacks of a foreign government is the wrong thing to do.'In his defense, Blanchet said that his remarks were not intended as an insult. 'Canada is an artificial country. It is not meant as an insult,' he said during a campaign stop in Val d'Or, explained that this is a view he has expressed before. He argued that, unlike Quebec, which he described as a proud nation, Canada is fundamentally a collection of regions, with Ottawa seeking to centralize power at the federal level. To support his point, he referenced former prime minister Justin Trudeau's past description of Canada as a 'post-national state.''Quebec is anything but the post-national nation. It's a proud nation,' he discussions among voters are divided, with many expressing outrage over these comments and condemning his words. But some in Quebec defend him, arguing that he is simply highlighting Quebec's distinct identity reflecting a clear divide between the Canadian has a long history of separatism tied to events like the 1995 Quebec referendum. He has served as the leader of the Bloc Québécois since 2019 and as the Member of Parliament for Beloeil, his federal role, he was a member of Quebec's National Assembly from 2008 to 2014 and served as the province's Minister of Sustainable Development, Environment, Wildlife and Parks from 2012 to Bloc Québécois has historically advocated for Quebec's sovereignty, and Blanchet's recent comments align with this stance. However, in the current climate of external threats and internal calls for unity, such remarks may be seen as divisive.

Michael Bublé takes down Donald Trump over talks of turning Canada into 51st state: 'We are not for sale'

Michael Bublé took a swipe at U.S. President Donald Trump during a patriotic opening monologue at the 2025 Juno Awards, declaring that his native country was "not for sale" amid growing tensions between the U.S. and Canada. "Folks, we're one of a kind. We are beautiful. We are the greatest nation on Earth," the host of Canada's version of the Grammys said from the Rogers Arena stage in Vancouver on Sunday night. "And we are not for sale." Related: Michael Bublé reveals why he turned down The Voice at least 15 times: 'Most of the singers are better than me' Amid an escalating tariff war, Trump has been vocal about his desire to annex Canada and turn it into a U.S. state, prompting condemnation from Canadian leaders. On stage, Bublé's nationalism was on full display. "I'm a hometown kid who never left," he said. "And as I stand here and look out at my fellow artists in a sold-out arena with millions watching at home, I'm proud to be Canadian."'Bottom line, we love this country," Bublé continued. "And when you love something, you show up for it. And we always will. We will because we're formidable, because we're fearless because we don't just acknowledge our differences, we embrace them. Because they don't just make us stronger, they make us a hell of a lot more interesting." Speaking to reporters from the Oval Office earlier this month, Trump said, "Canada only works as a state," adding, "We don't need anything they have. As a state, it would be one of the great states anywhere . . . If you look at a map, they drew an artificial line right through it, between Canada and the U.S. Just a straight, artificial line. Somebody did it a long time ago, many, many decades ago. Makes no sense." Related: The View slams 'insane, stupid, hare-brained' Donald Trump for floating potential third term: 'Wouldn't mind being king' "But why should we subsidize another country for $200 billion?" he continued. "Again, we don't need their lumber, we don't need their energy. We have more than they do. We don't need anything. We don't need their cars. I'd much rather make the cars here. And there's not a thing that we need. Now, there will be a little disruption, but it won't be very long. But they need us. We really don't need them. And we have to do this." Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is among the political leaders to have hit back against Trump. "What he wants is to see a total collapse of the Canadian economy because that'll make it easier to annex us," he said. Ontario Premier Doug Ford said in a separate interview with CNBC, "Canada is not for sale and will never be the 51st state. Our supply sector is so intertwined, you can't unscramble an egg."
