GBI investigating shooting in Metter
METTER, Ga. (WSAV) — GBI agents are investigating at Thursday night shooting that occurred on Creekside Way in Metter. Around 11:45 p.m. March 6, Candler County deputies responded to a reported home invasion at the 100 block of Creekside Way. Deputies found two people with gunshot wounds at the home. They were both transported to a local hospital and are in stable condition, the GBI said. The Candler County Sheriff's Office requested assistance from the GBI, a GBI spokesperson said. 70-year-old missing out of Metter
METTER, Ga. (WSAV) — Officials in Candler County are seeking a missing 70-year-old. Dennis Payton McGowan, 70, of Metter, was last contacted Feb. 6, a Candler County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) spokesperson said. He has a silver Jeep Compass with the Georgia tag RRF0403.
