50 Cent mocks Diddy after Cassie Ventura's bombshell testimony in court

50 Cent has mocked his rapper rival Sean 'Diddy' Combs after prosecution and Cassie Ventura gave evidence against the Bad Boy Records founder in his court case in lower Manhattan Rapper 50 Cent couldn't help but take yet another jibe at Sean 'Diddy' Combs following the latest events in court. Combs, 55, is in the lower Manhattan courthouse facing charges, including racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution. He was arrested in September. ‌ He vehemently denies all allegations of wrongdoing against him, including those alleged in civil lawsuits. He has been in prison since his arrest, with a number of bail requests rejected. ‌ Now, after Combs' ex Cassie Ventura testified against the rapper, his rival 50 Cent - real name Curtis Jackson - has mocked him. Among Ventura's shocking allegations was a claim that during one 'freak off,' a blow-up baby pool was filled with baby oil that Combs told Ventura to get into. There were also alleged texts between the pair that were shown to the jury. Jackson took to social media to take aim at Combs. On Instagram, he said: "Down on your luck, not feeling good today? Well look at the bright side you could be Diddy." He had earlier shared a a screenshot of a headline referencing the inflatable pool. Jackson followed it up by sharing two AI-generated images of Combs in a pool of baby oil and wrote: "Damn he did all that s*** to go out like this, SMH This s*** crazier then regular crazy." It's far from the first time Jackson has hit out at his fellow musician since the accusations were first made. Just days earlier, the Candy Shop rapper commented on something the prosecution said in their opening statement on Monday, May 12. ‌ They claim that in one instance, Combs forced an escort to pee in Ventura's mouth. After the prosecution's claim became public Jackson shared a photo of a cherub fountain statue that appeared to be peeing on his Instagram. He captioned his upload, "Diddy said in ya mouth! SMH LOL." ‌ Combs and Jackson have had an ongoing feud which has lasted almost two decades. The bitter feud first began in the early 2000s, and their row, which has spanned more than two decades, came to light bigger than ever after Combs' arrest. The row between the two rappers first kicked off with the release of 50 Cent's track 'The Bomb'. The tune seemingly alludes to Combs having knowledge about the 1997 murder of the late rapper Notorious B.I.G. The Baby By Me hitmaker has never shown proof or evidence of his rival's alleged knowledge of the iconic rapper's murder. Rather, Combs has continued to vehemently deny knowing any information about Notorious' tragic death.

50 Cent slams Diddy after Cassie's bombshell testimony: ‘Crazier than regular crazy'

50 Cent has shared some thoughts about Sean 'Diddy' Combs' federal sex trafficking trial. The trial, which kicked off with jury selection on May 5 in Manhattan, made waves this week when the embattled record producer's ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, took the stand to testify as a witness in the case. She alleged that the rapper forced her to participate in 'freak-offs' during their on-again, off-again relationship from 2007 to 2018. The 'Me & U' singer further alleged that Diddy, 55, once made her climb into an inflatable pool filled with baby oil inside of hotel room. Although Ventura, 38, testified that she didn't want to get into the baby oil-filled pool, the singer said that she did because she feared how Diddy would react if she refused. 'Something that Sean wanted to happen, that's what was going to happen,' Cassie said on the witness stand Tuesday, per People. The 'In da Club' rapper took to Instagram to slam Diddy over the singer's shocking claims. 'Damn he did all that s–t to go out like this, [shaking my head],' 50 Cent, 49, wrote. 'This s–t crazier th[a]n regular crazy.' The 'Candy Shop' hip-hop legend also shared two AI-generated images of Diddy sitting in two different inflatable pools filled with baby oil. This wasn't the first time 50 Cent trolled Diddy over the 'Mo Money Mo Problems' singer's alleged love of baby oil. Shortly after Diddy was arrested on federal racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution charges in September, the 'P.I.M.P.' rapper again took to Instagram. 'Here I am keeping good company with [The Drew Barrymore Show],' he wrote. 'And I don't have 1,000 bottles of lube at the house.' In the unsealed indictment following Diddy's arrest, prosecutors claimed that federal agents discovered upwards of 1,000 bottles of baby oil when raiding the record exec's Miami and LA homes in March 2024. Diddy's defense attorney, Teny Geragos, acknowledged the 'I'll Be Missing You' rapper's 'love of baby oil' on Monday during opening statements. 'You may know of his love of baby oil,' Geragos said to the jury. 'Is that a federal crime? No.' Meanwhile, Cassie's testimony at Diddy's federal trial came after she sued the disgraced rapper for sexual abuse in November 2023 – although the pair settled the lawsuit for a staggering $20 million just one day later. Her claims in court this week also come nearly one year after CNN released a shocking surveillance video of Diddy assaulting the 'Long Way 2 Go' singer in the hallway of a Century City, Calif., hotel in 2016. She testified about that incident after prosecutors shared the full video with the jury on Wednesday. 'How many times had Sean thrown you to the ground like that before?' Emily Johnson, one of the prosecutors in the case, asked Ventura. 'Too many to count,' Ventura, who is currently eight weeks pregnant, responded.

Swedish candy craze comes to Boston store with crowds lining up for sweets

A candy shop in Boston's South End is making a massive splash on social media thanks to the popular Swedish candy it sells. Bostonians and even out-of-state influencers have posted about Madeleine's Candy Shop on apps like TikTok and Instagram, garnering hundreds of thousands of views. On weekends, lines wrap around the block. All over social media feeds "I've seen it all across my social media," said South Boston resident Brian Bartolovich. "All these influencers telling you about how cool it is, how awesome it is." For Madeline's Candy Shop owner, Madeleine Brason, the response has been overwhelming in the most magical way possible. "The response has been beyond my wildest dreams," she said. At just 29 years old, and after a life dedicated to STEM, Brason quit her corporate job and devoted herself to the science of sweets. At the time, her parents begged her not to do it. "They were like, 'So do you have a business plan?' I said, 'I sure do,' and I went home and Googled what a business plan was," Brason said. "It felt natural to finally do something that I was passionate about." Swedish candy craze That passion was met with opportunism and immense foresight. For months, a Swedish candy called BUBShas been trending worldwide. It's gotten so popular Amazon and apps like TikTok have started selling premixed bags. And in New York City, a Swedish candy store called BonBon has become a tourist destination. The most famous BUBS, including the Banana Caramel Ovals, Tutti Frutti Foam Diamonds and Licorice Skulls, are notoriously difficult and expensive to get your hands on. "You have to fill out these FDA forms, I have a customs broker," Brason said about the process of getting the BUBS to her store. "I'm learning words that I never really thought that I would have to learn in my lifetime, but it's been fun." Madeleine's is now the first place in Boston you can find them, right on the corner of Clarendon and Appleton streets. "Over 2,000 pounds of candy, I estimated that would last the month," Brason said. "Gone in under a week." But what makes them so desired? "People are looking for the texture," she said. "It's more like a Tempur-Pedic mattress. And the sour coating, it's finer than the other sour gummy sugars." Other candies from around the world Madeleine's also has a wide variety of chocolate, sour candies, and prepackaged items from around the world. The origin of each product is labeled with a little flag and color coded based on candy type (sour, sweet, etc). Gummy eggs from Spain have unexpectedly become Madeleine's top selling item. "When I opened the bag I said to myself, 'That's disgusting, no one's going to buy them," Brason said. "[They] sold out immediately." And the highly-Instagramable interior of Madeleine's is doused in New England flair. Canned sardine paintings hang on striped wallpaper-covered walls, and fake hydrangeas sit in little wicker baskets. "The fish is really supposed to be a nod to Scandinavian and New England fishing culture," Brason said. Each bag of candy is served with a pair of chopsticks; an international candy experience served with Boston soul is what's turned Madeleine's into a local and global sensation. "All my friends are posting all their Instagram stories, Snapchat stories," said Bartolovich. "It's so whimsical, it makes you feel like you're a kid again in the candy store." "I feel like it's really new," customer Emily Collins said. "There's nothing like this in Boston." "Why I'm able to do the shop is because of the social media content that other people have been making," Brason said. "Thank you for changing my life."
