Corporation Beach in Dennis is an inviting crescent of white sand backed by low dunes on Cape Cod Bay. Family-friendly features include a snack bar, lifeguards, and bathhouses, but you might have to walk a bit from the parking area to the beach. But if shopping is a treasured part of your vacation experience, head to Provincetown . Whimsical, artistic, chic, tawdry — you can find it all on Commercial Street. We love the crazy mish-mash that is Marine Specialties , the overstuffed shelves at Tim's Used Books , the gorgeous jackets at Cock N Bull Leather , the eye-popping art at Schoolhouse Gallery — add the great places to eat, excellent people-watching, and proximity to Race Point Beach and you've got the Cape's best day trip, too. Advertisement Classic resorts and a budget-priced option We'd love to have you stay with us — you're a delight — but sorry, we just don't have the room. When it comes to full-service resorts, the Cape has three biggies: Chatham Bars Inn, Wequassett Resort & Golf Club, and Ocean Edge Resort & Golf Club. 80-degree weather for Mass. Maritime Academy students on sea term. Follow along.
The weekend weather in Tampa, Florida featured pleasant 80-degree days, a mild sea breeze and low humidity. A perfect day for afternoon window washing. As Cape Codders were preparing for another snow event, freshman cadet John Strell was making his way around a catwalk cleaning glass outside the Patriot State's bridge. The Massachusetts's Maritime Academy's new training ship arrived at the Port of Tampa Bay on Friday morning. Cadets and staff have rotated through watch and maintenance rounds while also enjoying some liberty off ship to explore the area. Ship Captain Mike Campbell said he planned to have the ship underway Monday morning, heading out into the Gulf of Mexico. Patriot State will then go south around the Florida Keys before turning north up the Atlantic coast. A week at sea with Cape Cod Times: Times photographer to spend a week at sea with Mass. Maritime Academy cadets The over 500 cadets will spend the last days of their 52-day sea term helping to run the ship and also completing classroom studies and exams.
