Yemeni association for care & rehabilitation of blind celebrates marriage of 88 couples

Sana'a - Saba: The Yemeni Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Blind in Sana'a celebrated on Thursday the marriage of 88 couples in the eighth mass wedding for the blind, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and funded by the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled. During the ceremony, Sultan Al-Samai, a member of the Supreme Political Council, congratulated the newlyweds on completing half of their faith (an Islamic reference to marriage) and entering married life. He described the celebration as a unifying national event, bringing together participants from various Yemeni provinces. Al-Samai emphasized that Yemen will remain united and strong in facing challenges posed by enemies seeking to divide it. He expressed gratitude to the supporters and contributors who made the eighth mass wedding possible, highlighting how the participants proved that disability does not prevent individuals from achieving their aspirations and building family lives. Meanwhile, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Samir Bajjalah congratulated the couples on their marriage and completing half of their faith. He praised all attendees for joining the celebration of the blind couples in their eighth mass wedding and commended the care and support of the Revolution Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badruddin Al-Houthi, in meeting the needs of vulnerable groups. Bajjalah also acknowledged the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled for supporting the blind and organizing the mass wedding, which coincides with Yemen's celebrations of the 35th National Day of the Yemeni Republic (May 22). He called for facilitating marriage and reducing dowry costs to help young people build stable lives. The event was attended by leaders from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, the Capital Secretariat, the Fund for the Care of the Disabled, and various associations. Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, head of the Social Affairs Committee in the Capital Secretariat and honorary president of the association, thanked the Fund and all contributors for organizing the mass wedding for a segment of society deserving of care and attention. He noted that the wedding, held under the slogan "You Are Not Alone – With Gaza Even in Our Joys," reflects the greatness of the Yemeni people in their unity, resilience in confronting aggression , challenges, and their commitment to the nation's causes, including supporting Gaza. For his part, Abdulaziz Balhaj, head of the Yemeni Association for the Care of the Blind, affirmed the association's commitment to continuing efforts to support the blind and ensure their rights to education, employment, and marriage. He thanked the sponsors, contributors, and organizing committees for their role in facilitating the eighth mass wedding and welcoming couples from across Yemen. The ceremony, attended by social leaders, relatives of the couples, and other guests, featured choral performances, traditional heritage segments, and the distribution of gifts provided by the Fund and sponsoring companies. Sana'a - Saba: The activities of the summer courses for the year 1446 AH concluded on Wednesday in several schools in Al-Safia district of the Capital Secretariat. During the closing ceremonies at Al-Rawd and Imam Ali schools, Khaled Al-Madani, the First Undersecretary of the Capital Secretariat and head of the subcommittee for summer courses, praised the efforts of the summer school committees and staff, as well as the outstanding engagement of students. He also commended the dedication of parents in enrolling their children in the courses to broaden their knowledge and develop their scientific, cultural, and creative skills. Al-Madani emphasized the importance of summer activities and courses in building capacities, refining talents, and enhancing skills in various creative fields. He highlighted their role in protecting generations from soft war tactics, misguided , destructive cultures, and equipping them with awareness, insight, Quranic knowledge, and faith-based identity. Additionally, the "Yemen Thabat" Foundation honored the leadership and staff of the General Revolution Hospital Authority in the Capital Secretariat in recognition of their significant contributions to providing healthcare to the families of the steadfast amid the exceptional circumstances facing the country. The closing and honoring ceremonies in several summer schools across Al-Safia district featured speeches, choral performances, poetry recitals, and creative presentations by students and talents from the summer courses, reflecting the Quranic and faith-based awareness they gained through the knowledge and culture they acquired. Capital Secretariat honors winners of 4th Summer Festival for Talented & Creative Students

Sana'a - Saba: The Subcommittee for Summer Activities and Courses in the Capital Secretariat honored on Sunday the winners of the 4th Summer Festival for Talented and Creative Students in the summer schools of the Secretariat for the year 1446 AH. The festival, organized by the subcommittee in cooperation with the Al-Sha'ab Social Foundation for Development, saw the participation of over 800 competitors from summer school students across all districts of the Secretariat. They competed in eight categories, including the Holy Quran, methodology, choral singing, poetry, speech and oratory, theater, drawing and sculptures, and folkloric arts. During the honoring ceremony, Hadi Ammar, Deputy Minister of Education and Scientific Research, emphasized the importance of summer activities and their educational, cultural, and social objectives. These activities aim to strengthen students' connection with the Holy Quran and their faith-based identity, protect them from misguided foreign influences, develop their diverse skills and talents. He praised the efforts made in organizing and ensuring the success of the festival and summer activities in the Capital Secretariat, as well as the students' high level of engagement and excellence in various creative, scientific, and cultural fields, including memorizing the Holy Quran and other skills. The ceremony was attended by Abdulqadir Al-Mahdi, Head of the Education Sector and Deputy Chairman of the Summer Courses Subcommittee in the Capital Secretariat, and Ahmed Al-Sulwi, Director of Educational Awareness and Activities at the Ministry of Youth. Abdullah Samina, Director of Activities, highlighted the tangible achievements of the summer courses in promoting Quranic culture and faith-based identity. He affirmed that the 4th Summer Festival served as a platform to showcase outstanding examples of talented and creative students in various cultural, scientific, and artistic fields, fostering a spirit of creative excellence among students. Sana'a - Saba: The Subcommittee for Summer Activities and Courses for Female Students in the Capital Secretariat organized on Sunday the closing ceremony for the summer schools of the year 1446 AH, held under the slogan "Knowledge and Jihad." During the ceremony, the head of the subcommittee in the Secretariat, Ibtisam Al-Mahduri, commended the efforts made to ensure the success of the summer courses and their various activities, which witnessed significant community and official engagement and momentum. She explained that the number of summer schools for girls in the Secretariat reached 500 schools, with 82,000 female students enrolled. She noted that the courses were enriched with numerous activities that contributed to enhancing the students' skills, abilities, and talents in various fields. Al-Mahduri pointed out that this year's summer activities were distinguished by their focus on the Yamani foundation in learning the Holy Quran, which will serve as a starting point for incorporating it into general education. She praised the role of the media in highlighting the summer activities, as well as the efforts of school principals and all staff members in implementing the activities and courses and garnering community support for their schools. The exhibition included photos, models, handicrafts, and various craft products, reflecting the advanced level of the female students and their creativity and talents. At the honoring ceremony, Ibtisam Al-Mahtouri, head of the Summer Schools Subcommittee at the Secretariat, praised the efforts made to ensure the success of the summer school programs and objectives, and the quality of the activities that contributed to honing the students' skills.
