All-Star guard Rhyne Howard had one of the best games of the 2025 WNBA season on Friday against the Chicago Sky. Howard led the Atlanta Dream in scoring with her 36 points. She had the hot hand against Angel Reese and the Sky and made nine 3-pointers that sealed the 88-70 win.

Howard made history by tying the most shots from deep in a single game. She joined Arike Ogunbowale, Jewell Loyd and Kelsey Mitchell, who all made the same amount of threes in a single game.
The two-time All-Star also set a new franchise record with her outside stroke. The previous record was eight threes, set by Renee Montgomery in 2018.
Aside from her threes, she also cemented herself as one of the best facilitators for the Dream. Howard had four assists in the game, and when she had her third, she earned the fourth spot in the franchise's all-time assists list, surpassing Layshia Clarendon.

Following the game, Howard spoke about how it was a bounce-back game for her. Before their contest against the Sky, they had a 77-58 win over the Indiana Fever on Tuesday. However, she didn't have be best outing and finished with three points on 0-for-5 shooting from deep.

'I feel like this is really a bounce back game, not only for the whole team, but for me,' Howard said.
The Dream star took the chance to promote herself for the 2025 All-Star Game since the voting started on Thursday.
'I'm holding myself to a very, very high standard and I feel like I haven't been performing as well as I like. Obviously, I'm shouldering a lot this year. But that's still no excuse for me. Just being able to have a game like this… All-Star voting just started, so if you needed any reason to vote for me I feel like I gave you that tonight.'
Fans will need to see more of what Howard did against the Sky. Her recent performance got the attention of fans. The 2025 WNBA All-Star Game will be in Indianapolis, Indiana, and Howard is looking forward to representing the Atlanta organization with some of the league's best players.
