Rumble Ponies seeking employees for upcoming season

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The Binghamton Rumble Ponies are looking to fill several positions as they prepare for the 2025 baseball season. The Rumble Ponies announced on Monday that they are hosting two upcoming Job Fairs at Mirabito Stadium. Held on February 15 and February 22, the job fairs will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day. Open interviews will be held on-site. Candidates are encouraged to bring a resume and arrive ready to discuss their previous work experience. The Rumble Ponies say ideal candidates must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays during the spring and summer months. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older and have proper identification, including working papers. Rumble Ponies announce official 2025 promotions schedule The job fair will be held inside of the Administrative Offices and The Armory Team Store. The part time and seasonal positions will run from April to September. Available positions include: Bat boys and girls Box office and ticket sales Cleaning and maintenance Concessions team members Fan engagement associates Game day production members Grounds crew members Mascots Parking lot attendants Team Store/ Funn Zone associates Ushers Individuals can schedule an interview time in advance. Carla Murray to fill City Council vacancy

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Democrats on Binghamton City Council have chosen an educator to fill a vacancy on the legislative body. Council has chosen Carla Murray to represent the city's First District, replacing fellow Democrat Olamni Porter who resigned last month. Murray is currently an administrator at the BOCES Professional Learning and Innovation Center. The SUNY Broome and Binghamton University alumna previously served as a Community Schools Coordinator in the Binghamton City School District. She has two children and has lived in the First Ward for over 20 years. Murray is scheduled to be sworn in at a special Council meeting Monday evening. A special election to complete the remainder of the term will be held in November.
