DJ Gok Wan and McFly star Dougie Poynter added to line up of Carlisle Weekender
TWO new acts have been announced in the line-up for the Carlisle Weekender, joining a whole host of other artists in what is set to be an 'incredible day of live music'. DJ Gok Wan and British musician Dougie Poynter have been added to the June 7 line-up for Brunton Park's Carlisle Weekender. Dougie and Gok join Dizzee Rascal, Gabrielle and Tinchy Stryder as part of the Saturday bill. Gok Wan is amongst the most respected and renowned personalities across media, and since 2020, has been channelling his passion for music by delving into the world of DJing. He is set to bring an 'unmissable' DJ set to this summer's festival at Brunton Park. Gok promises an electrifying set with feel-good vibes and memorable anthems. Dougie Poynter, an 'I'm a Celeb' winner best known as a legendary member of the pop-rock band McFly, will take over the decks for a DJ set packed with pop-punk and rock anthems. Suzanne Kidd, finance director at Carlisle United FC, said: "It's fantastic to add Gok Wan and Dougie Poynter to the Carlisle Weekender line up. "Their signature DJ sets will add something special to the event, creating an electric atmosphere and elevating what's already shaping up to be an incredible day of live music." Creative director of Carlisle Weekender for Carlisle United FC, Oliver Hodgson, added: 'Delighted to welcome Gok Wan and Dougie Poynter to the Carlisle Weekender stage to complete the 2025 line up. 'Their performances will bring even more variety and energy to what's shaping up to be an unforgettable weekend of music, entertainment, and Carlisle spirit.' Tickets, starting from £45 with pay-in-three options, are on sale now and available via and Carlisle United's website. Carlisle Weekender is a brand-new weekend of live music hosted at Brunton Park Stadium. Previous announcements have included Craig David Presents TS5, Sigala and Wes Nelson who are set to play the Friday.

Dizzee Rascal and Gabrielle to perform at Carlisle Weekender this summer
DIZZEE Rascal and Gabrielle have been announced as the latest headliners of this summer's Carlisle Weekender music festival. Music icon Dizzee Rascal and Brit Award-winning singer-songwriter Gabrille will lead Carlisle Weekender's lineup on Saturday, June 7 at Brunton Park, which is also set to include Tinchy Stryder and local favourites Hardwicke Circus. Dizzee Rascal, one of the most recognisable names in British hip hop, is known for his chart-topping tracks, such as 'Bonkers', 'Holiday', and 'Dance Wiv Me'. Gabrielle is known for her era-defining smash hits, including the #1 singles 'Dreams', 'Rise', and 'Out Of Reach', and is set to perform live with her band at Brunton Park's Carlisle Weekender this summer. Also joining Saturday, June 7's lineup is Tinchy Stryder, who is renowned for hits such as 'Number 1' and 'Never Leave You'. Finance director at Carlisle United FC, Suzanne Kidd said: "This is another stellar lineup for the city to enjoy this summer. Brunton Park is the perfect venue, and it'll be wonderful to see so many well-known British musicians grace the main stage in June. The announcement of the star-studded lineup for Saturday, June 7 at Carlisle Weekender comes a matter of weeks after it was announced that British R&B star Craig David would headline the festival on Friday, June 6. On the Friday, there will also be performances at Carlisle United's Brunton Park from chart-topping DJ Sigala and TV star turned singer-songwriter Wes Nelson.
