The Real Madrid assistant, who is the son of head coach Carlo Ancelloti, has ambitions to become a boss in his own right having also served as his father's number two at Bayern Munich, Napoli and Everton. (Photo by GOKHAN TANER/Middle East Images/AFP via Getty Images) | Middle East Images/AFP via Getty According to reports in Spain, Ancelotti junior is destined for Ibrox with Rangers incoming new owners - an American consortium fronted by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises - said to have identified the 35-year-old as the man they want to appoint as the permanent successor to Philippe Clement, who was sacked in February and replaced by Barry Ferguson on an interim basis until the end of the season. It is claimed that Ancelloti junior will continue to assist his father in his new role with Brazil for the June internationals against Ecuador and Paraguay before heading to Glasgow for pre-season training. Madrid coach Franceso Mauri, 36, is also tipped to join him at Ibrox.

Ancelloti senior is one of the most successful coaches of all time, winning titles in England, Italy, France, Germany and Spain while his record of five Champions League titles is the most won by any manager. Ancelloti junior is currently assistant manager to his father at Real Madrid having also served as his number two at Bayern Munich, Napoli and Everton. The 35-year-old has ambitions to become a manager in his own right and, according to one report, Rangers are prepared to take a chance on the unproven Italian by offering him his maiden head coach position. Sky Sports Italy journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has claimed that Rangers are "pushing" to appoint Ancelloti junior as the prepare to kickstart a new era under new owners with a takeover of the Ibrox club by and American consortium led by Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises expected to be completed next month. Real Madrid wants Klopp to move, two other teams are also interested
INA - SOURCES Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been linked with a sensational return to club management less than a year after departing Liverpool. But he could be offered a way back into club management, with TBR Football stating that Real Madrid is considering an approach for the former Liverpool boss if Carlo Ancelloti steps away from his role this summer. Klopp managed Mainz, Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool in a stellar management career that encompassed 23 years, before he left Anfield at the end of the 2023/24 campaign. The German then took up a job as Red Bull's head of global soccer, a position he began in January.
