Police identify woman who died after Montgomery double shooting
Police have identified a woman who died after a double shooting early Sunday morning.
Carmilla Taylor, 28, of Montgomery lost her life in the incident, police said. The Montgomery Police Department is investigating the case as a homicide.
Officers and fire medics responded to the shooting at about 2 a.m. Sunday in the 2800 block of East South Boulevard, MPD Sgt. Tina McGriff said in an email. During the shooting, two women suffered life-threatening injuries. First responders took the women to a local hospital, where Taylor died.
McGriff said officers are continuing to investigate the shooting and are not releasing any more information at this time.
