Metairie man sentenced in 2024 child pornography case
METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — A Metairie man has been sentenced in a 2024 child pornography case after he pled guilty back in October of that year.
According to the United States Department of Justice, on May 20, 2024, Homeland Security Investigations special agents and officers with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office searched the home of 41-year-old Carson Riess.
Adults, teenager facing several allegations in Terrebonne Parish drug investigation
At his home, a laptop was seized which contained child pornography. It was later determined that Riess had received images and videos showing the sexual exploitation of minors. He was arrested and later pled guilty to receipt of child pornography.
On May 27, 2025, Riess was sentenced to 60 months imprisonment followed by 15 years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay $172,500 in restitution to victims as well as a $100 mandatory special assessment detains the most followed person on TikTok, Khaby Lame
