Head coach Kirby Smart's Georgia Bulldogs are surging on the recruiting trail during a key weekend in Athens.

Georgia is hosting multiple elite recruits on official visits, including five-star wide receiver Cederian Morgan and five-star tight end Kaiden Prothro, among others.
The Bulldogs, coming off the No. 2 class in 2025, have some ground to make up in the 2026 cycle, as Smart and Co. hold only 10 commitments entering the summer.
The defending SEC champions were expected to get some good news in that aspect given how many talented visitors are on campus.
And a step in the right direction took place on Saturday with Georgia receiving a welcomed word from four-star defensive lineman Carter Luckie, who announced his commitment to the Bulldogs while on campus Saturday.

Luckie (6-foot-5, 265 pounds) plays for Norcross (Georgia) High School, where he ranks the No. 16 player at the position and the No. 28 player in the state in the class of 2026 (On3).

Luckie has official visits scheduled to Ohio State (June 6), Florida State (June 13) and NC State (June 20), but it would be surprising to see the Georgia legacy back off his pledge.
Georgia football runs in the Luckie families' blood, making Carter Luckie's commitment an expected win for the Bulldogs.
Carter Luckie's older brother, Lawson Luckie, is a star tight end for the Bulldogs.
Their father, Mike Luckie, was a linebacker at Georgia in the late 1990s alongside Smart at safety. Mike Luckie's brothers Dustin Luckie (linebacker) and Miles Luckie (offensive lineman) also lettered at UGA.
UGA currently sits fifth nationally and second in the SEC behind LSU (No. 2 nationally) in the 2026 cycle with plenty of time for more additions.
