Fairhope High School student arrested, accused of selling drugs

FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WKRG) — A Fairhope High School student has been arrested after police received a tip he was selling drugs. Escambia County Fire Rescue responds to fifth house fire at same location According to a Fairhope Police Department Facebook post, officers received an anonymous tip that a student at the school was selling drugs. K-9 Lucca was brought in and detected drugs in the student's car in the school parking lot, the post said. When the student returned to his car, officers found MDMA, a drug known as ecstasy when it's in tablet form or molly when it's in crystal form, assorted pills, marijuana and two ski masks in the student's backpack, according to the post. The discovery led officers to get a search warrant for the student's home in Loxley where they found three handguns, 132 assorted pills, more marijuana, hallucinogenic mushrooms and $1,200 in cash, the post said. According to the post, Carter Vezina, 18, was arrested and is accused of six counts of possession of a controlled substance, possession of a forged instrument, nine counts of illegal possession of prescription pills, possession of paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
