Presley Oldham's Pearls Pop Up at Bergdorf Goodman

Presley Oldham's pearls are popping up at Bergdorf Goodman. The department store has snapped up the Brooklyn-based designer's colorful line of organic pearl and glass beaded 'compost' jewelry for the summer. Starting Thursday through the end of July, Oldham will be situated on 5f, Bergdorf's contemporary fifth floor. 'It does feel kismet,' he said, given the launch date coincides with his brand's fifth anniversary. More from WWD Gisou Brings Biggest Pop-up Yet to Miami Saint James to Open Pop-up at Printemps in New York Brioni, Bergdorf Celebrate Brand's 80th Anniversary With Special Capsule Oldham, the nephew of fashion designer Todd Oldham, currently sells through a number of smaller boutiques in addition to running his own e-commerce, but Bergdorf is the first landmark retailer to feature his line. 'The array of jewelry they curate is unlike any other in the world, and I feel so lucky to now be included,' he added. Bergdorf will also be the first to stock his spring 2025 collection, which Oldham debuted as a CFDA award nominee with a presentation during New York Fashion Week. Additionally, the jeweler sourced unique pearls to create three exclusive one-of-a-kind necklaces. 'One style is made with luscious lavender coin pearls the size of quarters, another is made with blush pink iridescent pearls that look like little bubblegum pieces,' he said. 'Then there are these amazing winged baroque pearls that are the most beautiful, organic cloud shapes you could dream of.' Retailing for $2,800, these are at the top end of Oldham's line, which is typically priced below $1,000. Oldham has been working to elevate the line with an eye toward finer materials recently and, for Bergdorf, that meant switching older styles from sterling silver to 14-karat yellow gold fill, which he said 'brings a lovely warmth to the collection.' In return, Bergdorf is offering him a warm welcome. Andrew Mandell, its divisional merchandise manager for decorative home and jewelry, praised Oldham for 'bringing an entirely new perspective to jewelry' through his 'confluence of wit, optimism and craft.' On May 9, Bergdorf will host a cocktail event in Oldham's honor as the kickoff to Mother's Day gifting. 'Celebrating the launch over Mother's Day felt like the perfect fit for the entire family to come shopping,' Oldham said. 'Jewelry is always an heirloom item that can be passed down to future generations, and hopefully shoppers are able to create a special Bergdorf memory of their own when purchasing a piece of mine.' Lié Studio Launches Exclusive Jewelry Capsule for Moda Operandi

Lié Studio, the Danish accessories brand founded by former models Amalie and Cecilie Moosgard, is launching a jewelry capsule exclusively for Moda Operandi. It centers around a pair of button earrings belonging to the twins' grandmother, which they ironically found in her sewing kit next to actual buttons. 'It became more than just an earring. It became a design code that ties the entire collection together,' Amalie said. But eschewing her much beloved pearls, the Moosgards opted for cooler black onyx in the center and expanded upon their oval shape to include a pendant choker, drop earrings, a bracelet and band rings as well. 'It's really about the balance between two contrasting materials,' Amalie explained, noting the use of silver- and gold-plated frames with ridged edges inspired by Cecilie's Cartier watch from the 1970s. 'The black onyx gives a sleek and elegant finish, which we found to be a perfect fit for Moda Operandi,' she added. The capsule collection ranges from $180 to $415, and will be available on Moda Operandi, and at the brand's Copenhagen boutique starting Thursday. Founded in 2021, Lié Studio has since added bags and belts to its range of contemporary jewelry. The brand counts 130 stockists worldwide, but Moda was the first to introduce it in the U.S., its largest market to date. 'We've always had such a great relationship with Moda and their team,' Cecilie said. 'They have always had valuable insights and given great feedback, which has been rewarding for us as a growing company.' Ryan Kleman, director of buying and accessories for the retailer, pointed out that, 'Serendipitously, the capsule coincides on the two-year anniversary of our partnership.' 'Lié Studio's product instantly connected with the Moda client,' he continued, 'bold yet refined, with an attitude that you'll wear it forever.' EXCLUSIVE: L.A.'s Kinn Studio and Janessa Leoné Collaborate on Fine Jewelry Collection

Los Angeles-based brands Kinn Studio and Janessa Leoné have teamed for a fine jewelry collaboration: the Cascade Collection. 'We speak the same language,' said Leoné, hatmaker and accessories designer, of working with jeweler Jennie Yoon of Kinn Studio. As independent, self-funded brands, they found common ground in their shared aesthetic, a sentiment they both echoed. 'We're not putting out these massive collections every year, because we have had to do things very intentionally, had to run very profitable, sound businesses.' The 10-piece line — sculptural rings, earrings and ear cuffs — are made from 14-karat gold and sterling silver, using lab-grown and natural diamonds. 'People are more comfortable in mixing metal,' said Yoon, who established Kinn Studio in 2017 with a vision to create modern heirlooms. 'We're like, 'Let's offer them both and give them the choice.'' A tribute to L.A.'s coastal landscape, each piece aims to capture the fluidity of water, the waves of the Pacific Ocean intertwining with the cityscape, through flowing, organic curves. 'It's interpretive, it's dynamic, there's multifunctionality,' Leoné said of the collection, which is entirely manufactured in L.A. 'It's inspired by transformation.' The rings can be worn as ear cuffs, and vice versa. 'I loved the versatility that we could play into with the actual designs itself,' Leoné went on. Priced between $180 and $5,080, the collection is out Thursday. It's available exclusively on and as well as each brand's respective store at Platform in Culver City, Calif.
