Surrey police seek witnesses to Mother's Day arson in Cedar Hills neighbourhood
The Surrey Police Service is looking for witnesses to an arson that happened on Mother's Day in the Cedar Hills neighbourhood. Police say at about 2:30 a.m. on May 11, three suspects parked a vehicle near 123rd Street and 97th Avenue. They then attended an address in the area of 122nd Street and 97th Avenue. Police say the suspects were seen holding 'jerry cans' and used an accelerant to set fire to a house before fleeing the area in a dark grey SUV, possibly a Dodge Durango with dark wheels and a sunroof. Surrey Fire Service attended the residence and extinguished the fire. None of the residents of the house were injured in the fire, police said.
