The Big E unveils entertainment lineup for 'Halfway to St. Patrick's Day' weekend
WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Big E is bringing the spirit of Ireland to its opening weekend with the return of 'Halfway to St. Patrick's Day,' a celebration packed with live music, energetic dance, and festive entertainment from September 12 to 14.

The three-day event will showcase a diverse lineup of Irish performers across multiple stages, offering fairgoers a chance to experience traditional and contemporary Irish music, step dancing, and a variety of unique acts, all included with admission.
Court of Honor Stage
The StepCrew (Sep. 13-14, 2:00 p.m.)– This electrifying group blends three styles of dance–Ottawa Valley stepdance, Irish stepdance, and tap–accompanied by world-class fiddlers and musicians who have performed with The Chieftains, Cherish the Ladies, and Bowfire.
The E Stage
Whiskey Cherrybomb (Sep. 13, 12:30 p.m.)– Blending 'Celtic Acid Folk' with rock, this high-energy band delivers a mix of punk and folk infused with Irish roots.
House of Hamill (Sep. 14, 8:30 p.m.)– Known for their skillful jigs, three-part harmonies, and humorous storytelling, this group offers a fresh take on traditional folk ballads.
Storrowtown Gazebo
Kilted Colin (Sep. 12-14, 12:30, 3:30 & 6:30 p.m.)– A one-man spectacle featuring bagpipes, dance, comedy, and even a 10-foot-tall unicycle.
Black Rose Academy of Irish Dance (Sep. 13, 1:30 p.m.)– Led by Bridget Barcomb Dupuis, this Springfield-based academy showcases Irish step dancing for all skill levels.
Cassin Academy of Irish Dance (Sep. 14, 1:30 p.m.)– Under the guidance of Maura Cassin McCarthy, this West Springfield group presents traditional Irish dance with a contemporary twist.
In addition to live performances, visitors can explore the Dingle Pavilion Showcase in the Young Building, featuring Irish vendors from the Dingle Peninsula, meet members of the Dingle Tourism Alliance, and browse unique offerings from the West Springfield Tartan storefront.
