CENTER POINT, Ala. (WIAT) — Center Point Fire District personnel are on the scene of a large commercial fire Saturday night. According to a Facebook post made by the Center Point Fire District, the fire is in the 5000 block of Pinson Valley Parkway. The department warned that heavy emergency equipment is present at the scene and advised people to use caution in the area. No further information is available at this time. (Trussville Tribune) — The Center Point Fire District presented a Pinson Valley High School senior with a 'Hero Award' Tuesday, recognizing her extraordinary actions during a moment of crisis. Just after school on Thursday, March 20, Andrea Alvarado witnessed a serious car accident that left four fellow students with injuries. Alvarado, who plans to enter the medical field, rushed to the scene without hesitation and provided care to the injured with professionalism and kindness.
