Centerville grad, Ohio State star forward Cotie McMahon enters transfer portal

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WDTN) – Ohio State women's basketball is losing one of its most impactful players to the transfer portal. Former Centerville Elks standout Cotie McMahon will play her final year of eligibility elsewhere, after three seasons wearing the scarlet and gray. McMahon departs from the program as the Buckeyes' leading scorers this past season, averaging 16.5 points per game in 2024-25. The two-time All-Big Ten forward averaged 15.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game over three seasons in Columbus. McMahon also earned honorable mention AP All-American honors in each of the past two seasons after winning Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2023.
