‘Insignia-2025': Two-day fest at SDMCET from May 16
SDM College of Engineering and Technology (SDMCET), Dharwad, will host the 14th edition of two-day national-level Techno-Cultural Festival, 'Insignia-2025' on its campus on May 16 and 17.
Addressing presspersons in Dharwad on Thursday, principal of SDMCET Ramesh Chakrasali said that they were expecting a participation of around 2,000 students from across the State and neighbouring States.
Prof. Chakrasali said that in all there would be 60 different events including technical events like paper presentation and quiz, real world business scenario activities, science projects and others. There would also be cultural events and contests of Eastern and Western dance and music, dramatics, literary events, and fine arts.
Secretary of SDME Society Jeevandhar Kumar will inaugurate the event on Friday (May 16) at 9.30 a.m.
As part of the festival, renowned Bollywood playback singer Shashwath Singh will present a live concert on May 17 at 7.30 p.m. at the SDMCET Sports Ground.
Prof. Chakrasali said that there would also be special auto expo and drone competition. To encourage students to donate blood voluntarily, a blood donation camp was also being held in collaboration with SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospital, Dharwad, he said.
