Police request autopsy as part of ongoing investigation into Wheesung's death The sudden news of the death of R&B singer Wheesung on Monday has left the K-pop industry in mourning, with tributes pouring in from fellow musicians and fans. Rapper Changmo shared his condolences online, expressing gratitude for Wheesung's music in his life. 'Thank you for your amazing music that had a great impact on my life. May you rest in peace,' Changmo posted Monday on his social media. Paloalto, another rapper, reflected on his admiration for Wheesung, recalling how he attended the singer's first concert after his own debut. 'I have so many memories of him from my 20s. I even attended his first concert after releasing my debut album,' Paloalto said. 'This is so shocking and heartbreaking. Thank you for being part of my youth with your music.' Hip-hop musician Verbal Jint also paid tribute, calling every moment he shared with Wheesung an honor and expressing his gratitude before wishing him peace. Singer Yoon Min-soo posted a past duet performance with Wheesung, singing Toy's 'I Lived by Your Side for a While.' The R&B singer was scheduled to hold a joint concert, 'The Story,' with ballad singer KCM in Daegu on Saturday. The event has been canceled. Wheesung was found dead at his home in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, at around 6:29 p.m. Monday. His mother is reported to have discovered him and called emergency services.
