They're Not in Hawkins Anymore! Stranger Things Stars Maya Hawke and Sadie Sink Linked Up on the 2025 Met Gala Red Carpet

It's always nice when the first Monday in May can serve as an excuse for some cast bonding, and that's exactly what happened when Stranger Things stars Maya Hawke and Sadie Sink found each other on the red carpet at the 2025 Met Gala. With Hawke in a peachy pink gown while Sink went for all black, together, the two embraced a perfect blend of innocence and edge to celebrate 'Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.' It should be noted that Hawke and Sink (who is also a newly minted Tony nominee, no big deal!) aren't just collaborators in the Upside Down. Sink's vocals appear on Hawke's 2024 album Chaos Angel, with Hawke saying of her friend: 'Sadie [Sink] has the most extraordinary voice I've ever heard in my life. Honestly, it's so in tune. We had to put it out of tune a little bit to put it with my voice, because it's making me sound out of tune. She's incredible and one of my favorite singers in the world and one of my favorite people, but she was just in the neighborhood.' Hawke and Sink will also surely be spending a lot more time together on the red carpet when Season 5 of Stranger Things comes out (no, we don't know exactly when that will happen just yet, but we know it's going to be sometime this year), but there's nothing quite like squeezing in a little girl time on the first Monday in May, is there? Stranger Things star sparks engagement rumours after she's pictured wearing a ring

Maya Hawke has sparked engagement rumours after she was spotted wearing a ring on Monday. The Stranger Things star, 26, was seen on a stroll around Downtown Manhattan, New York City, sporting a sparkly diamond on her ring finger. She looked stylish in an all-denim outfit, sporting a light blue denim jacket over a black-and-white horizontal-striped polo top as she spoke on the phone. The actress, daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, added matching jeans and completed her look with black Prada shoes, toting her belongings around in a black handbag and wearing her light brunette locks up in a ponytail. But it was the incredible ring, the only piece of jewellery she wore, that caused a stir, prompting a wave of speculation about a potential engagement. Maya has been with singer boyfriend Christian Lee Hutson, 34, since 2022 and described the divorcé as a 'poet musical genius' last year after he produced her third studio album Chaos Angel. MailOnline has contacted Maya's representatives for comment. She previously dated singer Spencer Barnett and The Sandman star Tom Sturridge. Maya explained earlier this year that she 'can't wait to' take on the titular role in Signature Theatre Company's off-Broadway production of Eurydice. Les Waters is directing the adaptation of Sarah Ruhl's 2003 play, which runs from May 13 to June 22. The Inside Out 2 actress - who gets 611K monthly listeners on Spotify - is then scheduled to kick off the 20-date European leg of her Chaos Angel World Tour on June 21 at Vega in Copenhagen. In December, Maya wrapped up her breakout role as lesbian Robin Buckley in the fifth (and final) season of Stranger Things, which premieres later this year on Netflix. She is also set to portray young musician Calista in Stephen Frears' upcoming 1977-set dramedy Wilder & Me alongside Christoph Waltz, Jon Hamm, and John Turturro. Earlier this month, Maya unveiled her newly-darkened hair while attending the Broadway opening of John Proctor Is The Villain, which was held at the Booth Theatre in Manhattan. The nepo baby shares the same striking features as her famous mother Uma Thurman (pictured, right, in The Avengers in 1998) but she's three inches shorter The nepo baby shares the same striking features as her famous mother Uma but she's three inches shorter. The resemblance is even closer when Maya flashes a big smile just like the Oscar-nominated actress, who turned 55 on Tuesday. Uma shares Maya and Levon, 23, from her five-year marriage to former Gattaca leading man Ethan, which ended in 2005 amid rumours he had had an affair with model Jen Perzow, and later married their former nanny Ryan Shawhughes. 'There are so many people who deserve to have this kind of life who don't, but I think I'm comfortable with not deserving it and doing it anyway,' SAG Award nominee Maya admitted on the Happy Sad Confused podcast in February. 'And I know that my not doing it wouldn't help anyone.' Maya continued: 'I saw two paths when I was first starting, and one of them was: change your name, get a nose job and go to open casting roles. It's okay to be made fun of when you're in rarefied air. 'It's a lucky place to be. My relationships with my parents are really honest and positive, and that supersedes anything anyone can say about it.'

Maya Hawke Makes Red Carpet Debut with Boyfriend Christian Lee Hutson to Support 'Stranger Things' Costar

Maya Hawke stepped out for a night on Broadway with her boyfriend Christian Lee Hutson, marking the couple's red carpet debut. Hawke, 26, attended the opening night of John Proctor Is the Villain in support of her Stranger Things costar Sadie Sink at New York City's Booth Theater. Hutson, 34, accompanied the actress to the theatrical premiere. Hawke wore a pleated skirt paired with a collared sweater, leather trench coat, and Prada loafers. Hutson donned a sporty, casual look with a denim-on-denim outfit paired with a brown turtleneck and white Converse sneakers. The couple met four years ago through their work in the music industry. Hutson is known for his indie folk music style and collaborations with Phoebe Bridgers, whom he supported on her 2021 Reunion tour. In July 2024, Hawke opened up about working with her boyfriend on the Zach Sang Show. "It is awesome. I mean, I cannot recommend highly enough dating your friends. It's the best. They know you, and as a human being who has dated other people. They really know you as a person who has feelings ... not just a piece of paper for them to project their image of perfect girlfriend onto," the actress told host Zach Sang. Related: Maya Hawke Says Stranger Things' Final Season Is 'Already Starting to Be Heartbreaking' Hawke first costarred with Sink, 22, on Stranger Things in 2017, when both actresses joined the cast. Several other Stranger Things cast members walked the carpet in support of Sink, including Natalia Dyer, Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo. Sink stars as high school student Shelby Holcomb in John Proctor Is the Villain. The play, written by Kimberly Belflower and directed by Tony Award winner Danya Taymor, follows a group of Georgia high school students reading Arthur Miller's classic Salem Witch Trials play The Crucible. The play sees the students "as they delve into the American classic, the students begin to question the play's perspective and the validity of naming John Proctor the show's hero," according to an official synopsis. The show marks Sink's third Broadway credit. At opening night, Sink exclusively told PEOPLE, "Kimberly's writing is so brilliant and truly captures teenagers and such an authentic light and deals with some uncomfortable topics, but in such a digestible, honest way." The actress continued, "So I'm incredibly more proud of our team and the message that this show has." The fifth and final season of Stranger Things has wrapped production and will premiere on Netflix later this year with an exact date to be announced, per Tudum. Read the original article on People

Maya Hawke ‘hates' Instagram but says she cannot delete it

Maya Hawke may not want to be active on social media, but producers want her to be. The 26-year-old Stranger Things star recently confessed she 'hates' Instagram and has previously considered deleting the app. However, doing so wouldn't be good for her career in Hollywood. 'The line between actor and celebrity has gotten extremely blurry,' Hawke told Josh Horowitz on Thursday's episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast. 'What I always wanted to be is an actor where the work is what the draw is, not the personhood,' she said. 'But the industry keeps changing, and you have to change with it and understand that all of these things are getting blurred.' Hawke went on to explain that writers, directors, and producers are now taking social media presence into account during the casting process because they want to take advantage of their platforms, financially and otherwise. This has been extremely 'difficult' for Hawke to come to terms with. 'It's like, I don't care about Instagram. Instagram sucks. 'Right, but just so you know, if you have over this many followers you can get the movie funded,' she said, giving an example of something she's been told before. 'Well, I wanna make the movie a really confusing line to walk,' Hawke noted. 'I've talked to so many smart directors about how I'm gonna delete my Instagram,' she told Horowitz. 'And they're like, 'Just so you know, when I'm casting a movie with some producers, they hand me a sheet with the amount of collective followers I have to get of the cast that I cast so if you delete your Instagram, and I lose those followers, understand that these are the kinds of people I need to cast around you.'' On Instagram, Hawke has amassed over 8.9 million followers. From random pictures of buildings to screenshots of her tour schedule, the 'Missing Out' artist uses her page to share moments in her life and career milestones. Reflecting on her experience in Hollywood thus far, Hawke, the daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, said she didn't think being a 'nepo baby' has benefited her career or stopped casting teams from being brutally honest. 'A director told me – actually, I think was a producer, but they were in cahoots – told me I looked prettier with my mouth closed, and that I should close my mouth after I speak more often,' she said. Aside from acting, Hawke has spent time paving her way in the music industry, releasing her third studio album, Chaos Angel, in May of last year.
