Yacht found in Cornwall with no-one on board as search launched
A search has been launched after a yacht was found aground with no-one on board in Coastguard said it received reports at 20:15 BST on Friday of the vessel had been discovered at Chapel Point, between Gorran Haven and said Mevagissey Coastguard Rescue Team had been sent to the scene, alongside a HM Coastguard helicopter, fixed-wing aircraft; RNLI lifeboats from Looe, The Lizard and Falmouth; and Devon and Cornwall officials said crews found nobody on board the boat, which the BBC understands came from Roscoff, and a large search operation was ongoing on Saturday.
Searches were being focused predominately on the sea, the coastguard added.
