Dulquer Salmaan is ready to change Malayalam cinema in a big way, as he's set to introduce the region's very first superhero world. Recently, he shared the first poster of his new film, Lokah – Chapter One: Chandra, featuring Kalyani Priyadarshan in a unique superhero avatar. Directed by Dominic Arun, the upcoming film is more than just an action story. The makers aim to build a new kind of superhero universe inspired by the stories, culture and myths of Malayalam tradition.
Salmaan is known for trying new things, both in front of the camera and behind it, and the upcoming superhero movie could be his biggest project so far. This is his seventh film as a producer, and just from the first look, it's clear that the film is made on a grand scale. Because of the film's unique theme, people are already excited to watch it on the big screen. Sharing the poster on Instagram, the actor wrote, 'Unveiling Lokah — a world where legends come alive. There are speculations that Dulquer Salmaan and Tovino Thomas might be seen in short cameo roles in the upcoming superhero film. Gafoor appear in key roles, the film also features Chandu Salim Kumar, Arun Kurian and Shanti Balachandran.
While Dulquer Salmaan will produce Lokah – Chapter One: Chandra, he also has a busy lineup as an actor. He will be seen in Kaantha, a film set in 1950s Madras, where he'll share the screen with Rana Daggubati, Bhagyashree and Samuthirakani. Along with this period drama, the talented actor is also part of two other upcoming films, Aakasamlo Oka Tara, directed by Pavan Sadineni, and I'm Game.
