Loose Women star lands massive new gig just days after ITV daytime telly bloodbath

A Loose Women star has landed a massive new gig just days after ITV announced massive cuts to its daytime television schedule. Hosts of the female-led lunchtime chat show will see major cuts to their airtime from January in a desperate bid by the broadcaster to save cash. The huge programming changes announced earlier this month will see the talk show air for only 30 weeks a year, instead of its current year-round timetable. Lorraine Kelly 's self-titled chat show has also been subjected to the same cuts - along with a slash in run time, from an hour to 30 minutes. It makes it a good time for Loose Women host Judi Love, 44, to have branched out - by starting a podcast called Our Table, with the first episode released on Friday. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. It makes it a good time for host Judi Love, 44, to have branched out - by starting a podcast called Our Table (pictured), with the first episode released on Friday The talk-show style format will see her invite creatives from across the world to join her for a fine dining Caribbean meal - and tell-all chats about their rise to stardom. Guests on the first episode will include fellow Loose Woman Charlene White and The Diplomat actor David Gyasi. They will also be joined by comedian Michelle de Swarte, who created and starred in BBC series Spent, and actress Deborah Ayorinde, known for Amazon Prime horror series Them. The food will be provided by renowned chef Dominic Taylor, known for starring on Channel 4's Five Star Kitchen: Britain's Next Great Chef in 2023. The comedian announced her new gig in a series of Instagram posts earlier this week, one of which read: 'Our Table will launch on Friday the 30th on YouTube and all major podcast platforms! 'We have an exciting series lined up, featuring incredible guests and engaging conservations. Join us at Our Table!' Another of her posts showed a glamorous group shot of the stars due to feature on the first episode. It comes after Loose Women was left in chaos, with some of its top presenters doing the show 'through gritted teeth' as they faced a 60 per cent pay cut. The huge ITV programming changes announced earlier this month will see Loose Women air for only 30 weeks a year, instead of its current year-round timetable Some of the stars are believed to be 'furious' and 'insulted' over the shake-up, and are already fearing inevitable job losses. A source told The Sun: 'It's very tense backstage as the cast are all fuming. It's like they're putting on a brave face and doing the show through gritted teeth. 'Some people's pay could be cut by 60 per cent as some get paid by the episode and they'll be slashed next year. 'For some it's their main source of income and it's worrying to everyone.' Anchors Ruth Langsford and Kaye Adams, both 65, and presenters Nadia Sawalha, 60, and Denise Welch, 66, are believed to be 'angered' and 'panicked' about their livelihoods being at stake, causing uproar behind the scenes. Other top ITV talents including Lorraine, 65, whose career spans over 40 years, are believed to be 'furious' and 'insulted' over the shake-up. The new regime, set to come into effect in January, will cost a potential 300 staff members their jobs, with an ongoing consultation period lasting until September, before employees are finally let go in December. Insiders have revealed to MailOnline it is Christine Lampard, 46, who fears she will be most affected given she presents for Lorraine when she is on holiday and also anchors Loose Women, meaning her yearly work is now in jeopardy. A TV source told MailOnline: 'All of the presenters are in a state of panic and up in arms following ITV's announcement. 'These shows make up a large part of their livelihoods, so they are just as stressed and angry as the production staff, who have been told over 300 jobs are at risk. 'Ruth, Kaye, Nadia and Denise, in particular, have been reaching out to the production team in a panic and to express how angry they are that ITV had made this decision.' MailOnline understands the cast of Loose Women, which includes more than 20 presenters like Charlene White and Coleen Nolan, feel there will be no option other than for the broadcaster to let go of key, long-serving talent. It is also believed younger panellists, like former Love Island contestant Olivia Attwood, 34, and influencer GK Barry, 25, could be favoured over veteran stars including Janet Street-Porter, 78, and Jane Moore, 63. A Loose Women insider added: 'At the moment there are about 20 presenters at the show, some are contracted, like Ruth, Kaye, Nadia, Denise, Janet, and Jane, and others are more ad hoc, like Myleene Klass and Sue Cleaver. 'It is hard enough right now to give every contributor a fair number of shows and to keep everyone happy and on screen as much as they would like. 'Now, the show will air just 30 weeks a year, so a lot of people are going to lose their jobs. 'There won't be enough shows to go around, so it means presenters who have been on the series for 25 years may be kicked off the panel.'

Loose Women star lands huge new job just days after ITV daytime cull amid cash crisis

LOOSE Women star Judi Love has landed a huge new job just days after ITV announced their daytime cull. The ITV show's line-up had been left in the dark about cuts to their lunchtime talk show, which will take effect from January amid a cash crisis. 3 Sweeping changes announced earlier this month mean the female-led, lunchtime talk show will only air for 30 weeks a year. So, it's a good job Judi, 44, has bagged herself a lucrative podcasting gig to keep the cash rolling in. The comedian announced on Instagram today that the first episode of Our Table will be released tomorrow. Fellow Loose Woman Charlene White is joining her, along with actor David Gyasi, comedian Michelle Deswarte and actress Deborah Ayorinde. She wrote: "Our Table will launch on Friday, the 30th, on YouTube and all major podcast platforms! "We have an exciting series lined up, featuring incredible guests and engaging conversations. Join us at Our Table!! #Ourtable #JudiLove." A second post saw the Strictly star posed with her special guests ahead of the series premiere. The Sun previously revealed how Loose Women is in chaos backstage with some of the stars doing the show 'through gritted teeth' as they face a 60 per cent pay cut. An insider told us: 'It's very tense backstage as the cast are all fuming. It's like they're putting on a brave face and doing the show through gritted teeth. 'Some people's pay could be cut by 60% as some get paid by the episode and they'll be slashed next year. 'For some it's their main source of income and it's worrying to everyone.' This comes after an ITV source revealed: "We are not planning any radical changes to the panel. "All of our Loose Women are hugely valued and we celebrate each and every one and the experience and opinions they bring to the show every day. "Many of our long standing panellists have appeared on the show for the majority of its 25 year run on screens and those stalwart, Loose legends are at the core of the show's success and hugely popular with the audience. "The show remains a big priority within our daytime slate, having secured a BAFTA nomination, launched a podcast and celebrated a milestone anniversary in the last year alone." MORE ITV CUTS Loose Women isn't the only show affected by recently announced changes at ITV, that will come into play in 2026. Lorraine Kelly 's show has been cut to just 30 minutes a day and will also only air for 30 weeks of the year. Good Morning Britain, with hosts including Susanna Reid, Ed Balls and Kate Garraway, will take half an hour from Lorraine and will run from 6am to 9.30am. More than 220 jobs will be lost as part of the shake-up — almost half of the 450 employed on the four flagship shows GMB, Lorraine, This Morning and Loose Women. ITV's daytime TV schedule changes in full Good Morning Britain will be extended by 30 minutes to run from 6am to 9.30am daily. Lorraine will run from 9.30am-10am, on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks of the year. During the weeks Lorraine is not on air, Good Morning Britain will run from 6am to 10am. This Morning will remain in its 10am-12.30pm slot on weekdays throughout the year. Loose Women will be in the 12.30-1.30pm slot, again on a seasonal basis for 30 weeks of the year. The changes will take effect from January 2026. 3 3

Inside ITV's Loose Women shock bloodbath leaving older stars fearing axe, ‘horrific tension' & fury at ‘lame duck' hosts

ITV's Daytime division is on the brink of civil war after this week's brutal cost-cutting announcement hammered Loose Women while leaving This Morning sitting pretty. We can reveal the Loose Women line-up had been left in the dark about the cuts to their lunchtime talk show, which will take effect from January. 7 Loose Women favourites, from left, Charlene White, Coleen Nolan, Janet Street-Porter and Katie Piper Credit: Shutterstock Editorial 7 The Loose Women line-up had been left in the dark about the cuts to their lunchtime talk show Credit: Rex 7 Charlene White with Denise Welch on the ITV show Credit: Rex None of the 26-strong pool of hosts including big-hitters Coleen Nolan, Christine Lampard and Gloria Hunniford had been warned the show will be shrunk to screen 'seasonally', for 30 weeks of the year. The old guard — some of whom have been on board since day one 25 years ago — now fear they will be left scrambling for shifts while the PR-friendly younger panellists like Love Islander turned documentary-maker Olivia Attwood, influencer Grace 'GK' Barry and Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge clean up. Their anger is also with Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard's This Morning, which has escaped the measures unscathed despite the show's troubled recent history. A source at ITV HQ said: 'The tension is unbearable. There's a lot of rage towards This Morning, which everyone feels is constantly favoured despite it being the lame duck of the daytime flock. 'The infighting is a feverish time-bomb which executives are desperate to defuse. 'ITV Daytime could combust from the inside out at this rate.' 'Fight for their places' The cuts to Loose Women, which were announced on Tuesday, mean it will be stripped of more than 100 episodes a year. The cast are now acutely aware this means there will be less work up for grabs, with a third expected to lose out on shifts, and The Sun has learned the old-timers reckon bosses will favour the youngsters. A source close to one of the Loose Women veterans said: 'A lot of the older panellists have lived through rumours of cuts and through the financial crisis of 2008 and 2009 which hit ITV hard — and they weathered that. 'But this was completely unexpected and it came out of nowhere. Katie Price reignites bitter Loose Women feud seven years after panel exit, ranting 'I hated that show' 'They feel like often all the negative criticism is levelled at them — the odd 'out of touch' comment — whereas with the new panellists such as Liv and Grace there is a buzz around them because they have that different point of view. 'Execs have also proudly pro-claimed how the youngsters have brought with them a much-needed new audience — and now all of a sudden the older panellists feel like they are going to have to fight for their places against these shiny teachers' pets. 'It's now five months or so for them to prove their worth and sing for their supper.' An ITV source insisted Loose Women's older panellists are highly valued, and celebrated by the show's Over 60 and Over 70 specials, while the programme's new podcast would keep everyone busy. ITV has also said it will try to preserve 'the look' of each of their daytime shows and not touch talent — yet. It is thought that means Loose Women's four stalwart presenters, Christine, Kaye Adams, Charlene White and Ruth Langsford, are all safe. This was completely unexpected and it came out of nowhere A source But others are now nervously looking over their shoulder. Our source added: 'The older panellists feel like until January they're on probation and pragmatic bosses will be scrutinising their every tweet, every rating and audience polling — everything like that. 7 Lorraine Kelly's chat show is cut by half an hour Credit: Rex 7 Loose Women's Christine Lampard and Ruth Langsford are thought to be safe Credit: Rex 'The younger panellists can charge more for an Instagram post than they get for a Loose Women appearance but the older ladies really rely on the regular fees. "Some of the panel's agents have better relationships with the show's producers than others and that's another thing adding further tension.' There is also disparity around how the various Loose Women are paid, with some on PAYE and others on a freelance rate, although while the take-home differs, every star is thought to be on the same fee of £3,000 per episode. Their earnings pale, though, when compared with the salaries on This Morning of Cat, Ben, Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary, who are thought to be raking in more than £500,000 a year. Yet it's not just the salaries of the glossy foursome on This Morning that are riling their Daytime counterparts at ITV. The schedule overhauls in the new year will also see the Good Morning Britain slot extended by 30 minutes while Lorraine Kelly's chat show is cut by half an hour. ITV Daytime could combust from the inside out at this rate A source A worker on the Lorraine show told The Sun: 'Everyone is absolutely furious that This Morning has got away with it yet again. Schofield claims 'There's a feeling that Loose Women and Lorraine are delivering resilient, solid ratings while This Morning is always in the Press for its tumbling viewing figures. Loose Women is even winning awards. 'Never mind the Phillip Schofield scandal and then Holly Willoughby leaving, This Morning is like the black sheep and yet that's the show that is not facing any cuts.' In its heyday, This Morning enjoyed ratings of 2.7million viewers but now it is lucky to scrape 500,000. Schofield departed This Morning in May 2023, following claims he had engaged in an extra-marital affair with a young male colleague who first joined the show as an intern. Holly quit five months later after a man was arrested — later to be jailed — for plotting to kidnap, rape and kill her. Meanwhile Loose Women won a prestigious Royal Television Society award this year and was nominated for a TV Bafta. But a source close to Lorraine Kelly suggested that for personal reasons she 'welcomed' the cut to her show, which previously ran for an hour. The beloved presenter, 65, will also now work across five days instead of taking Fridays off, and our source said: 'It was said she might decide to walk over the news but in fact the shorter run will give her more time with her family each day.' 'Lorraine's only concern is if the standard of the show drops through losing key members of the team — which I suppose is a concern across the board. 'But with the Loose Women now all forced to spend every shift effectively auditioning for their own role, it'll surely affect how bold, feisty and loose they're prepared to be.' Some 220 production staff will lose their jobs as part of the changes at ITV but boss Kevin Lygo has pledged the funds saved will support new drama and sport. 7 This Morning is not facing any cut despite the show's troubled recent history with the Phillip Schofield scandal and Holly Willoughby leaving Credit: Rex 7 This Morning hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O'Leary are thought to be raking in more than £500,000 a year Credit: Rex

Coleen Nolan leaves Loose Women panel and studio audience gasping with VERY personal swipe at Janet Street Porter - as Charlene White forced to step in

Coleen Nolan left the Loose Women panel and studio audience gasping with VERY personal swipe at Janet Street Porter during Tuesday's episode of the ITV show. The 60 year old didn't hold back as she made a comment about her co-star's multiple marriages while discussing how to tell someone that you don't love them anymore. Janet, 78, explained that she had no problem breaking up with someone and told a story about how she broke up with a fiancé after meeting another man. The journalist later admitted that she'd never had it happen to her. Coleen said: 'You don't know how it feels then, that's how you can do it easily, because you don't know that feeling.' Janet told her: 'If you think your relationship is going in that direction, get in first. 'Instead of swimming around in these shallows of emotion and turmoil and how to tell him. Get it over with.' But Coleen didn't hold back and said to her: 'Maybe if you'd spoken a bit more and discussed a bit more, you wouldn't have been onto your fourth marriage.' Janet, her co-stars Katie Piper, 41, Charlene White, 44, and the audience couldn't believe what she had said and gasped in shock. Anchor Charlene stepped in and said: 'I think it's probably safe we end things there and move on to getting things married! 'Forget fine china, I could see where that was going, it's the afternoon...' Janet has been married four times over the years. However she's been in a long-term relationship with entrepreneur Peter Spanton, 66, since 1999. Anchor Charlene stepped in and said: 'I think it's probably safe we end things there and move on to getting things married!' The pair are not married. Janet tied the knot with her first husband Tim Street-Porter in 1967, when she was just 19 years old. But their marriage didn't last long as they divorced in 1975. Her second marriage was to Tony Elliot between 1975 and 1977. Then in 1979, Janet tied the knot with Frank Cvitanovich in 1979. However they also lasted only two years. Her fourth marriage was to David Sorkin between 1997 and 1999. Janet is no stranger to talking about her affairs on the ITV show. Back in September last year, she shared racy details about her affairs to Coleen, Ruth Langsford and Brenda Edwards. Janet said: 'There was another guy I was having an affair with and one day he thought I was going to go along with his fantasies. 'And just as the butler in our hotel gave us our drinks, he started taking off hand cuffs and a whip. 'I've never been more embarrassed in my life. I got quite drunk and we managed to enjoy ourselves without resulting into some sort of hardware'. 'In the morning while he was sleeping it off I handcuffed his hands to the bed', she quipped.
