MSU football predicted to land commitment from 3-star LB Charles Belser Michigan State football is trending for a three-star linebacker prospect from Philadelphia. Charles Belser of Philadelphia took an official visit this past weekend, and it apparently went so well that the Spartans are now the projected favorite to land his commitment. Michigan State picked up a 247Sports' crystal ball prediction in their favor for Belser on Tuesday morning. Belser is a three-star prospect, with a recruiting rating of 87 on 247Sports. He ranks as the No. 64 linebacker and No. 807 overall prospect in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2026 class. Michigan State is one of nearly 15 schools to show interest in Belser by extending him an offer. Some of the other notable schools to offer Belser includes UCF, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Indiana, Pitt, Syracuse, UCLA and Duke. There is no known commitment date for Belser so we will need to keep our eyes peeled for any news surrounding his recruitment. I wouldn't be surprised if an announcement comes out shortly should he in fact elect to become a future Spartan. Michigan State locks in official visit for 3-star LB Charles Belser of Philadelphia A three-star linebacker from Philadelphia has locked in an official visit to Michigan State for next month. Charles Belser of Philadelphia announced on Friday that he'll be taking an official visit to Michigan State in June. According to a post from his social media X account, Belser will visit Michigan State on June 6. Belser is listed as a three-star linebacker prospect in the 2026 class. He holds a rating of 87 on 247Sports. Belser ranks as the No. 61 linebacker and No. 786 overall prospect in the class, according to 247Sports' composite rankings. He is also listed as the No. 27 player from Pennsylvania in the class. Michigan State is one of nearly 15 programs to offer Belser, according to 247Sports. He also holds offers from Duke, Florida State, Indiana, NC State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pitt, Syracuse, UCLA, Temple and Kentucky State. As of right now, Michigan State is the only scheduled official visit for Belser, according to 247Sports. I would expect that to change, but if it doesn't, that would indicate the Spartans are in a great spot to land his commitment.
