Two dead, one injured after Friday morning crash in Atoka County
STRINGTOWN, Okla. (KFOR) — Two people are dead and another was injured following a crash Friday morning in Atoka County.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol officials said at around 9:30 a.m. Friday, 78-year-old Charles E. Eidem, of Alexandria, Minnesota, was driving south on U.S. 69, when the vehicle went left of center and struck a tractor-trailer that traveling north on the highway.

OHP Troopers said the tractor-trailer was said to have left the roadway and overturned, while the other vehicle, traveling south, caught fire and completely burned.
Charles E. Eidem and his passenger, 78-year-old Carole Eidem, were pronounced dead at the scene due to their injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was transported by Air Evac to Medical City Plano in Plano, Texas, in stable condition. They were treated for their injuries and released.
