Globalink Investment Inc. Announces Charter and Trust Agreement Amendments

New York, NY, June 10, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Globalink Investment Inc. (OTC Pink: GLLI, GLLIW, GLLIR, GLLIU) ('' or the ''), a special purpose acquisition company, announced today that its stockholders approved amendments to its charter and trust agreement to extend the deadline to complete its initial business combination and change the structure and cost of such extensions. Under the amended charter, Globalink may extend the deadline to complete its initial business combination by up to six (6) monthly extensions, from June 9, 2025 to December 9, 2025 by depositing $0.15 per public share into its trust account (the '') with Continental Stock Transfer and Trust Company (''). Globalink's stockholders, at a special meeting of its stockholders held on June 4, 2025, approved an amendment to Globalink's Amended and Restated Certificate of Incorporation, as amended (the ''), and Globalink's Investment Management Trust Agreement, as amended, originally entered into on December 6, 2021 with Continental (the '') to extend the deadline to complete Globalink's initial business combination from June 9, 2025 to up to December 9, 2025 for up to six times of monthly extensions, by depositing into the Trust Account $0.15 per public share prior to each one-month extension. The Charter Amendment triggered a right of Globalink's public stockholders to demand the redemption of their public shares out of funds held in the Trust Account. Holders of 204,910 public shares properly requested redemption leaving 72,601 public shares outstanding. As a consequence of the adoption of the Charter Amendment and the Trust Agreement Amendment and the redemptions, Globalink can now obtain up to six monthly extensions, or up until December 9, 2025, to complete its initial business combination at a cost of $0.15 per public share per extension. Monday is the final day to register to vote in the April municipal elections in Polk County. Voter registration forms are available throughout the county at city halls, libraries and chambers of commerce, the Polk County Supervisor of Elections office said in a news release. Forms also may be completed online at For more information, call the Elections Office at 863-534-5888. Elections will be held for positions in Davenport, Dundee, Haines City, Lake Alfred, Lake Hamilton, Lake Wales and Mulberry. Frostproof had qualified candidates for an election but a candidate dropped out after qualifying. Walk-in, early voting starts March 17 and runs through March 31 at the Elections Office Headquarters in Bartow and the Elections Office of Operations at 70 Florida Citrus Blvd., Winter Haven, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The following candidates and Charter Amendment questions are expected to appear on municipal ballots: 7 cities in Polk will hold elections Here's who's running for each seat Seat 3: Tom Fellows is running against Timothy "Scott" Woodlee. The Davenport ballot will also contain four City Charter Amendment questions. One would change the term limits of the office of mayor and commissioner. The second amendment would require a super majority vote of the commission before the removal of either the city manager or city clerk. The third would increase from five to 10 the number of citizens needed to commence a Petitioner's Committee. The fourth would repeal a prohibition on converting septic tanks to central sewer service to confirm the City Charter to state environmental requirements. In Seat 2, incumbent Alathea Pugh faces Annette Wilson. Seat 4 pits incumbent Mary Richardson against challenger Julia Hunt. Prior to the election, the Northeast Polk Chamber of Commerce is set to host the town's first debate on March 6 at 6 p.m. at the Dundee Community Center.
