Chatham County Animal Services adoption floor at ‘full capacity'
SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Chatham County Animal Services (CCAS) has announced that its adoption floor has reached capacity for taking in new animals.
CCAS revealed via Facebook on Thursday that its current space has maxed out for new future pets.
'Those just entering the shelter or being moved to the adoption floor will have to wait until more room is available, which increases their length of stay in the shelter as a whole,' the post wrote. 'For some of these animals, time is beginning to run out – and fast.'
The service is asking for the public's help to alleviate space issues through adoption or fostering.
