It is believed that no auspicious task can be accomplished without honoring Lord Ganesha, who is regarded as the first deity to be worshipped. For children, it is essential to worship Lord Ganesha, as he bestows wisdom and knowledge upon students. Vinayak Chaturthi May 2025: Puja Vidhi Rise early in the morning and perform a sacred bath. It is essential to clean the house especially your puja room, then take a wooden plank to place an idol of Lord Ganesha. Illuminate a diya with desi ghee in front of the idol and light incense sticks, presenting yellow flowers or a garland, and do not forget to offer Durva grass to the Lord. Being mindful of the favourable (Shubh) and unfavourable (Ashubh) timings—particularly in the morning—can help enhance positivity, reduce obstacles and support a more harmonious and successful day. SUNRISE, SUNSET, MOONRISE, AND MOONSET ON MAY 1 The sun is expected to rise at 5:40 AM and set at 6:56 PM, while the moon will rise at 8:23 AM and set at 11:18 PM. TITHI, NAKSHATRA, AND RASHI DETAILS FOR MAY 1 The Chaturthi Tithi will remain in effect until 11:23 PM, after which the Panchami Tithi will begin. The Mrigashira Nakshatra will be active until 2:21 PM, followed by the onset of Ardra Nakshatra. During this time, the moon will be positioned in Mithuna Rashi, while the sun will continue its transit through Mesha Rashi. SHUBH MUHURAT TIMINGS FOR MAY 1 On May 1, the day will begin with the Brahma Muhurat from 4:14 AM to 4:57 AM, followed by Pratah Sandhya, which will take place between 4:36 AM and 5:40 AM. The Abhijit Muhurat will occur from 11:52 AM to 12:45 PM. The Vijaya Muhurat is set for the afternoon, from 2:31 PM to 3:24 PM.
